It’s not super sturdy and the sides bend if she climbs on them trying to get out of the seat. But it’s not ripping or wearing. She just has to get used to staying in her place and I think it’s going to work out just fine and save my car seat.

I absolutely love this car seat I purchased for my dog. I put it on the front passenger seat. My dog is 40-45 pounds and I was concerned it would be too small based on the product description however it is the perfect size for her. She loves to curl up in it or sit upright. It really gives her a sense of security and I think had helped the anxiety she was experiencing while riding in the car. It is quite easily and quickly installed. Easy to wipe down and seems waterproof. I do wish the front flap was zippered which would make it easier for her to get into (I think this part was intended for smaller dogs which you could just pick up and put in the seat). But I found that letting her hop on the floor of the car and then pressing down on front flap and allowing her to get up onto seat works well. Highly recommend for anxious dogs as well as for safety while riding!

flimsy side even with it zipped my dog can push them down. kind of makes that a safety issue to me. the seat belt hook up is nice, cleans up nice as my dog is a jack russel he sheds a lot. it is what you pay for but cold be a little bit stiffer on the sides. but i understand its to make it easy to flip from a. seat cover to a little box like holder. and saves my leather seats

I feel like I am a pretty good person to review this since I work with dogs full time, and had a chance to use the car bed with various breeds and sizes.At first, my 40lbs terrier mix did not want to sit in it. It took me having to switch it from my sedan to my transit connect for her to get acclimated to it. When she did, she seemed to really like it since the borders gave her security if she wanted to lay down. She is not able to stand it, which is good for owners who have issues with taming their dogs to one seat in the car, but that was never an issue for me. It was more important she was comfortable in it.Additionally, I had a German shepherd mix at about 70lbs try it out. He was able to sit in it, but this is not designed for large dogs. If your dog is over 45lbs, they will not be comfortable. I am returning this because when I went to secure one of the borders/sides, the zipper broke off immediately. The material does not seem durable. I am giving it three stars because I was impressed with how easily my terrier sat in it, but it’s pointless without the borders/sides. The sides were definitely a bit flimsy compared to what I thought they would be.

I’m so excited I went with this cover. I like that I can lift the sides up if my dog would prefer the security of that boxed feeling, or I can flip them down, shown in the picture. I have a larger breed with a smaller vehicle so I went with this option so I could see what my dog would prefer. The main purpose was to protect my leather seats and the complimentary buckle is super helpful to keep my dog contained in the seat instead of moving when I’m trying to drive. Very happy with the purchase!

My pup wants to sit in the front seat and this product is perfect. I feel safer having him up frontwhen he is sitting in this seat cover with the seatbelt buckle attached to his harness. The seat isalso protected from possible accidents (he occasionally gets car sick).

Is NOT sturdy! We got this and used it a few times. It is NOT secure. It is flimsy, and our puppy kept getting out of it or falling out of it. I would NOT purchase this. I had hoped to get a full refund however, they gave less than a month to use it for the refund. We purchased another one yesterday. It is much more sturdy!

I use this in the front passenger seat of my prius to contain all my "junk." I eat breakfast on my way to work daily, and this keeps the crumbs off the seat. If I want to take a passenger, I just pick up the whole thing and put it in the trunk. Then the seat is clean and not embarrassing. The best is if I don't want folks to see what I have there, I just unclip the top and fold that flap over the box part. Then it kind of looks like a pizza delivery bag, but it hides any valuables. I love it! This is the second one I have, the first lasted many years!
