this is an excellent book for beginner to intermediate Candles Recipes. I've made three batches of soap following the recipes in the book, and all the batches have turned out beautifully! I now have the confidence to try more complex techniques and use more exotic ingredients.

It’s a little basic, and a few minutes doing web searches would get you the same information. Buy it if it’s cheap and you have a few dollars you don’t know what to do with.

Great ideas for gifts. And I like the idea to make a little extra cash when I sell candles online

Not detailed with temps for heating. Every recipe called for mason jars...even the tea light recipe...hmmm. I didn’t learn anything I didn’t already know being a beginner.

I dont get the hype! Book is simply written and does not give clear directions on candle making for the novice. Book is overpriced and useless to me. I'm mad that I have to pay the shipping and handling to return it. It talks about all these wonderful, colorful candles but they are in black and white!

Again, I guess anyone with a computer and a couple hours can publish a book now days? And get one's friends and family to post 5-star reviews? Good grief, this book is poorly organized and the writing amateurish. Regardless of how inexpensive the book is ... it ain't worth the money. Returned it.
