pics don’t do it justice
i’m so shocked at how well this worked at removing too-dark toner from my hair!!!! as the caption says, pics don’t do justice.a little context: i have virgin blonde hair that i’ve been putting temporary pink color on for the past 3ish years. this winter i did overtone magenta and decided to fade it out to go back to a light pink for summer. i’ve done the magenta before with no issues getting back to a clean base just by shampooing, but for some reason this time it stained a bit :( so i decided to do malibu c DDL XL which definitely worked to lift the color, but left me looking like very ginger which was not the clean base i was going for. i decided to tone it and it came out waaaayyyyy too dark (first pic) and i knew my pink would not take. so i’ve been trying hopelessly to wash my hair as much as possible and it just hasn’t lightened enough to be the clean base i need for the pink to take.decided to give this a try and i’m SO GLAD I DID!! i was very hesitant due to some of the terrifying reviews, so the first go round i followed the instructions exactly which left me slightly lighter. when nothing crazy happened i decided it would be safe to leave it on for longer (as per another review which said they left it on for 30min). and it definitely lightened! i honestly think its light enough to go in with my pink now, but i will probably do another round of 30min to see how much closer i can get to my natural color before doing the pink.all in all this is absolutely saving my life and i’m so glad i can go back to being pink without having to do anymore color correcting or spending a lot of money :’)))) this product has lightened my base and left my hair really smooth and shiny. 10/10 recommend!

Takes toner OUT of hair
I wish I had taken a before and after photo - I recently went to the salon and chose to get a different toner put in my blonde hair which did not take to it well. It was too ashy for me and I wanted a quick fix without setting up another appointment and spending more money. This stuff worked for me - one little packet , to my surprise, did the job. My hair is highlighted and 80% is a level 9.5/10 blonde. I used one packet on medium length semi-thick semi-coarse hair and it stripped out all of that ugly toner and set me back to having my bright pale blonde hair. No more granny grey looking, borderline blue hair! I have a lot of gold undertones in my virgin hair so the level toner we used just didn't do well with the amount of underlying gold in the natural tresses that still remain amongst my color treated hair. My hairdresser is great, it just happened to be one of those freak things that just didn't work/react well.I did not think one little packet was going to treat my entire head, especially when I realized this stuff is powder in the packet - follow the instructions and you should render results. I dumped the powder into my palm after shampooing and used just enough water to make it into a shampoo-like consistency and began to distribute it in my hair, concentrating on the worse areas first, and WOW this stuff lathers up like crazy. Almost like a science experiment level fizzy lather. So, it's fair to say the product will definitely distribute itself thoroughly through short to mid length hair. I let it sit while I carried on with my shower routine (it says no longer than 5 minutes, I let it set for about 2-3 minutes) and BAM I was back to my bright, normal toned/pre-toned blonde. It does say to shampoo again once rinsing the treatment out, and then conditioning. It did strip my hair making it feel very coarse during my shower, so I would recommend depending on your hair type doing an extra conditioning or deep conditioner or mask. I decided to skip that and did just my normal spray-in leave-in treatments pre-styling and my hair came out normal, although I did use a little extra leave-in conditioner to get the tangles out. And it DOES definitely tangle your hair so keep that in mind and maybe a wet brush and good conditioner on hand, especially if your hair is dense and coarse already. One more thing to keep in mind for those who depend on toners more so than I do - depending on the effectiveness of the treatment you may have to re-tone your hair, and maybe that goes without saying, but if you're just looking to "brighten" your blonde, be aware that this may strip out any toners you have. Luckily, that was the intention for my situation and it delivered 100%.

1000/10 reccomend!!
I neveerrr write reviews, but this deserves one 1000%!! I box dyed due to the cost of maintenance about a month and a half ago. I used semi permanent so it started to fade pretty bad. With me being blonde for like 5 years, I’m obviously missing it and planning to go back soon. I wanted to get the left over box dye out and this worked so good!!! I used two packs because I have pretty thick hair. I plan on doing it one more time before I go, but I am SHOCKED with the results! My hair is also sooo soft! I’ll post photos of the box dye color, the day before I used this product, and right after using it!

Just so-so.
I bought this product for my granddaughter and it didn’t really take the “green” out of her hair. Maybe it was just too far gone.

Lifesaver for bringing back my blonde
Worked great for my 3C/4A/4B hair. I dyed it purple. And then a blue black to cover the purple when I was over it. As it faded out it turned greenish grey. No amount of clarifying shampoo helped. After two washes with this I was back to my blonde and caramel blonde highlights with my light brown base.

Excellent quality, works!
FYI- very small amount! Buy the multi-pack- but it’s intended for one use and shouldn’t be used too frequently. Very good, effective product! My blonde got so brassy and this brought it right back to perfection. Amazing!
