Very bright
This LED light bulb is in a Hayward fixture and at 50W is much brighter that the previous 300W incandescent bulb.

Great pool light to replace! incandescent
After needing to replace two Incandescent lights in just over a year I bought this LED light. The price was perfect, $80 cheaper than the local pool supply store! It’s not difficult to screw in a light bulb. The brightness is great for night time pool basketball. The entire pool is illuminated and has a beautiful blue tone to the water. Since it has only been in a few days, I can only assume the efficiency is great compared to the previous incandescent light, which is why the four stars. Since it is LED the pool light glass is not hot to touch like it would get when we had an incandescent.Very pleased!

Doesn't last
I ordered and installed this LED replacement lamp in September 2022. It's been turned on a total of about two hours. I have the 120 VAC version w/o remote. I love how it lights up the pool, but... it is now February 2024, and the light is flashing. It is on a GFCI circuit so I know it's not a moisture problem. These are a lot of work to install correctly. I got about 17 months out of this, much shorter than a standard tungsten bulb would last. What is the point of going LED if the electronics don't last? I do not recommend this, get something with a five-year warranty.

Brighter than I expected for wattage.
My pool is an odd shape and about 23,000 gallons, which really should have a higher wattage light. But I have an existing Hayward wet nitch that is too small in diameter for most of the higher wattage LED bulbs on the market. So the choice was this bulb or a higher wattage at twice the price with no remote and fewer colors. I’m glad I went with this option. There are some dark areas in the pool and the shallow end could be brighter, but it is adequate and safe. Dark spots can be fun too. The remote works, but I need to be sitting by the pool just above the light. No problem. Set it and forget it.

White bulb is great, RGB bulb not so much...
I ordered both the 12v 40w RGB light and the 12v 50w "daylight" white lights. I'll review them both...RGB 40w light:- The colors are gimmicky, unless you want to just leave it on a specific color; we only liked the white and blue settings- Remote doesn't work well, you have to extend the antenna and be right over the light for it to work- No light during transitions, would be much more interesting if it faded from one color to the other, but instead the pool is just dark at that time- The image that's dimmer of the two attached is the 40w bulb in "White" light settingDaylight 50w bulb:- This is cheaper and probably better for most people unless you want a color other than white- The brighter of the two images is the 50w bulbHope this helps others choose between the two. I'm sticking with the plain white.

Very Nice LED Pool Spot
I have a Pentair swimming pool light that normally take 12 volt 300W bulbs. Every time I change the bulb, it lasts a for a few days and stops working. This is due to the extremely high current drawn by the bulb and the fact that it gets very hot. Either the bulb blows or the solder on the screw thread melts.I finally found this reasonably priced 50W LED bulb and I have to say that I'm very pleased with it. I cleaned the contacts on my old bulb holder, installed the new LED bulb, resealed the lamp holder and installed it in the pool. It has been working beautifully for the past few weeks. Finally I've got a pool light that looks like its going to last! You really can't complain for $50 - the old bulbs were costing about $20 and didn't last, but this one does.

Bright Light, BIG power savings
I've now had this bulb installed for 1 month, So far, so good, seems to be doing nicely. It replaced a 300Watt incandescent bulb that burned out. So for only 50W, or 1/6th the power usage, I get MORE light. You can see from my picture, it lights up the pool VERY nicely. Please note, this is the 50w Daylight white bulb. Be SURE to ALSO replace your light gasket, not worth having a leak when you change it. Its super easy to change, just like changing any light bulb. Assuming is doesn't burn out, and continues to do as nicely as it is, how could I give it any less than 5 stars!

Bulb does not last
I purchased this bulb April 2023. It was initially very bright but became very dim within 8-9 months and now it barely lights the pool. I will have to replace it again> pool light bulbs should last much longer and have more consistant light. Not aware of any warranty on the bulb.
