This was purchased for genealogy purposes and compiling a book for publication. It has worked great.

Overpriced! It is same materials as Amazon's chrome 3 shelf rolling wire rack for less than 50.00. Amazon Basics should make this with rails and also and option with for 2 tiers of folders. One of poles was bent at top but luckily I could put it together. It needs side rails like the Elfa File Cart so that contents of files do not spill out. I will make some kind of rails with bungee cords perhaps.

Pleasantly surprised as to the quality of this product. Very well made, the directions to assemble were clear and precise. It rolls easily and fits perfectly under my desk. Couldn't be more pleased.

There is only one downside to this product, which is not hard to remedy. The caster wheels that come with it are hard plastic with a sort of half-moon cover that screw in to the bottom of the legs. If you intend to roll it around a lot (daily or more than a few times a week) it will eventually start to show marks on a hardwood floor. There are many brands of 'after-market' replacement wheels you can buy that have a softer, larger wheel that won't mark your floors. They look like the wheels on an inline skate. The ones I bought for my desk chair will not work on this cart - what you need will have threaded stems about 1 1/2 inches long. Not sure of the gauge. I'll try to post again once I figure it out.So, other than that, there is nothing much to criticize. Super easy assembly. Very sturdy. Good value for linear inches of ready storage space. Easy to move from one work station to another. This is what you want for your working files before you move them into cabinets. 10/10

Product functions and looks exactly as described. It is sturdy, strong, and attractive. It holds all the hanging folders and their contents that used to fill about 75% (completely filled one drawer and filled about half of the second drawer) of a two-drawer standard file cabinet. I have it set up to hold only standard-size folders, not legal size. It fits inside my home-office (standard bedroom) closet perfectly (I can place it horizontally, as the photos show, or vertically), and the closet doors still close. Also, it was very easy to assemble. Some of the bad reviews complain that the top tier sags or falls--that is because the owner assembled it incorrectly. I know this because I did it and immediately realized what I had done wrong and reassembled it correctly. The instructions are very succinct and clear. Love that it rolls!

Went together fairly easy. One side doesn't sit as flush as the other but its barely noticeable. Only I know. Not bad for the price.

I recently unpacked many boxes of file folders holding my genealogy research of 10+ years. I started before doing it online became popular and effective. Initially I purchased plastic file cabinets, which became too heavy once loaded.Next I kept the file folders in acrylic Iris Files on wheels. While the file carts have no top, they hold such a lot of file folders and they role nicely on hard flooring or carpet. They are easily enough to assemble. I'm 80+ and assembled several with no help. The shelf on the bottom holds easily reached items. Really Good buy.

I loved the fact that I could assemble this myself as I am mechanically challenged! I had no problem with this item and it is exactly what I needed to organize my numerous files. I have all letter size file folders and this cart holds plenty! I am very satisfied with this purchase and I am thinking of purchasing another one to separate active files from inactive files.

This cart is way better quality than anticipated. Easy to assemble, quality materials, and durable. I will be purchasing more for my office.
