I love this chalk paint!
I have been buying this brand for 4 years. Great paint and does not get thick & messy like DB does. Colors are awesome, adheres well, does not yellow before or after paste, but as all chalk goes? It is very expensive!

Excellent paint for wood and marble
I recently scored a lovely marble top table for a steal with plans to paint it. I didn’t think about whether painting marble was easy or not, but it was as so cheap I needed it. Did some searching and found this paint. I am AMAZED. I almost got the rust oleum chalked paint but it didn’t look dark enough. This gave me a beautiful dark satiny matte black over the wood AND the marble with no priming. Pics are before and after. When I painted the first stroke I was skeptical because it looked like it was rejecting the gloss finish on the table, but I gave it about a half a minute and tried to spread it and it was fine. Streaky but it was just the first coat. Did 3 coats on the bottom and one on top in this photo. I’ve since added another coat to the top and plan on sealing it so it’s shiny like the marble was. Im so happy I got this paint and can’t wait to start on the China cabinet I also got. In terms of cleaning it came off my hands fine but wiping it off the floor with soap and water didn’t work. Hopefully a cleaning agent will do the trick. That’s my only con.EDIT: Original review is from March 2023. It's now Aug 2023 and I've been able to paint the table shown, a whole 6.5ft tall china cabinet, 8 floating shelves, ornate appliqués for the shelves, 2 gothic wooden window frames, a 4.5ft ornate bookshelf, and 3 pieces of wall decor. THERE IS STILL PAINT LEFT from this small can. This stuff goes a lonnng way.

The color
the only thing I really didn't like was, I ordered antique champagne. got silver, but I used it anyway. It was pretty. The product is really okay, next time check your customers order before it gets packed and sent out. Now how about that refund for $44.95 since I got the wrong product

Little goes a long ways. Use a makeup brush.
5 stars. Don’t apply a thick coat, it makes it look tacky. We’re redoing a home and this worked perfectly.

One of the worst chalk paints I came across
I am in love with chalk paint due to the aged look it produces and I purchased white and black chalk paint from other brand to paint 2 dressers, further mixing it to achieve the degrade grey: that paint was thick like marmelade, achieved great coverage in one coat (for black; white needed 3 layers) besides getting 1 litre for under 20 USD.This Shabby chic paint by contrast is simply terrible. I purchased white, black, silver and gold, each for just under 20 USD for 250ml - terrible value for money. Not only that:- the paint is like water (shake the can to hear how water thin it is if you are going to buy it)- the paint is at the bottom of the tin and even when shaking the tin many times, the paint was still very thin- this paint smells stronger than other brands of chalk paint I used.- I tried to use the silver paint to paint the lines on this dresser and I had to apply it so many times due to being so waterish; on black it looks a bit better but on the white side of the dresser if just terrible. The silver paint leaves some streaks and lines and when removing the tape to achieve the straight lines, some of the paint was taken with the tape. This never happened with other chalk paint brands. Reading the huge percentage of positive reviews, I conclude the Shabby Chic factory standards dropped.Thankfully the Amazon customer service was amazing due to our Prime membership.

Palest gold
I used a white primer (Zeisser 1-2-3) and it made no difference in colour brightness compared to a dark grey that was already there so a primer isn't necessary. The results were a very nice palest gold medium shine and three coats on a three shelves unit took about ¼ of the tin, which is very small so a little goes a long way. It did however need three coats as streaking was visible.

Not bad, but not great!
I was disappointed with this paint. I have used this company many times with no issues. I think because this is metallic paint and extremely runny, it took quite a few coats to get the colour. However, I did like the end result. I used this on my garage doors.

Omg! Easiest Make over yet!!
This paint arrived and I was a little confused as to how such a tiny pot would cover the marble back & hearth of my fireplace ….Well, I used a minuscule amount it goes a long way! The original job was a cream & brown marble, the paint was amazing, unbelievable coverage, looks like a new fireplace!
