I generally don't trust flowery reviews, so I'll do my best to be fair, concise, and remain on point.First, I tried others, including the "Ultimate" dental guard from one of the big boys. It was anything but, at least for me. Its ill-fit was exceeded only by its price, but I'll save that for another review.This guard cannot be matched, especially for the price. The fact that you get a total of four dental guards in two different sizes gives you a backup, options, and margin for error. I needed that last one, as I botched the first molding by making the water too hot and leaving the guard in juuust a bit too long. There are clear directions that, if you follow better than I did, will provide excellent results. Pay attention to those temperatures and timeframes. I bought an inexpensive food thermometer to get the second one right.When fitting, don't immediately dismiss one or the either size based on pre-mold fit. I started with the larger because the smaller one just seemed too small. I was able to salvage the larger one I botched for size comparison, and then proceeded to mold the smaller one even though it didn't feel right before heating in the water. However, after doing so, it became very pliable and fit much better than the larger one, as it didn't go all the way to the back of my mouth. I had to trim the larger guard, which was easy enough, but the smaller guard fit perfectly! It doesn't have to cover the very back teeth if you are getting these to prevent your teeth clenching. They won't make contact. Perhaps consider the smaller pair first to prevent clenching and the larger for whitening.As for performance. These were perfect! They did not come out of place in my mouth at night (something I can't say for the "ultimate" that I almost choked on). And it wasn't for lack of trying. I was in rare form the first night, dreaming that I was eating a cookie, as I woke up chewing on these. They never shifted location. Since then, my mouth has become accustomed to having a guard in place, so less cookie dreams, for better or worse. Regardless, they are comfortable and reliable!The next morning, I had no aftertaste or bad taste or any taste that I've seen others comment on about dental guards in general. They were easy to clean, too. I just used my electric toothbrush on them after brushing my teeth, rinsed them off, shook them off, and let them air dry in the handy container that was provided before closing it. All ready for the following night! Also, I should probably be saying "it" instead of "them." I only had one guard in my mouth to keep from clenching, but I'm not going back to change all of that now. ;-)So much for concise. Wrapping up, I would just say you're not going to get a better fit with as many options and a tray for anywhere near this price. When the time comes, I will definitely buy again!

Really great value, you basically get 4 of these to try and only need to wear one (I was under the impression you wore a top and bottom guard but it's only top).However, like other mentioned you'd better get the molding process right...use a timer and a food thermometer, and make sure you drop the guard in and take it out with VERY precise timing.I used up all 4 guards in trying to get the perfect mold. My first attempt I must've left it in the hot water a few seconds too much, and it completely melted to goo. 2nd attempt was better but was also a bit warped. 3rd was good, but 4th fit best (my final mold was using the smaller size, even though I thought the larger would fit more comfortably but it didn't).But it's comfortable and now I feel weird sleeping without it. Highly recommended.

Honestly, I've purchased 3 or maybe 4 of this style of night guard (I grind my teeth at night) and I can't tell a whole lot of difference but this brand is just as good as any of the expensive ones (unless you're paying to get custom fitted) and is the best value.The key for proper use is to follow the instructions and make sure you get a good fit. If you don't get a good fit the first time, just put it back in the hot water for 15-20 seconds and then re-form it. Finally, trim off any of the extra material along the gumline. Just cut with sharp scissors and make sure not to leave any sharp edges.Having multiple sizes is a good idea because, sure I know I'm gonna wear an XL shirt but who knows whether they have a XL or L or M mouth, right? The carrying case is nice when travelling and for storage in my drawer during the day.Best value, no brainer. Go for it!

Really nice product, one of the better mouth guards I have tried. Initially I had to cut away some of the guard edges because they were poking into my gums, but when I finished it fit well and was not uncomfortable. It really improved my TMJ, although sometimes it slips out of my mouth because I snore a little. The instructions provided were easy to understand as well.

edit: More than anything, people should know that customer service for this product doesn't exist. Not on here, not on their website, not phone, email or chat. Nothing.This has a very VERY strong chemical smell and taste. I was trying the small one in my mouth just to see if it would fit and a horrible plastic chemical smell hit me in the face. I could NOT believe this. I've used night guards my whole life, and need some otc ones for a minute, and this is nothing like... I mean, I have never. I opened another of them to see if it was a one-off or fluke or something, and the bag just reeked. I still have the taste of it in my mouth from the one I tried and I have flossed and brushed my teeth twice. I admit I have sensory issues, but this is a huge NOPE, and 2 others have smelled them to make sure. I just can't believe how awful this is.Will be sending back, of course. It's rated very highly in one of the top google searches. That's too bad. I was hoping to get some that fit better than the dentek, but it won't be these.

I think the product has potential however I would disregard putting the mouthpiece in cold water . Might I suggest taking it out of the boiling water with tongs and letting it cool off and then test with your finger just to make sure it'll be at the right temperature so you can then put it in and make your impression. You may have to do this a few times just to get the right impression, comma because this is what I got the one that doesn't look like anything but perhaps a pile of lips or mush is the product following the directions , but with a spoon. Don't use a spoon when in the boiling water, either as you risk it going off to the side and melting. The fully formed guard not following the product directions omitting the spoon and cold water yielded a better result.
