Cheaper than the grocery store
I love Smart Start. It's my morning bowl of cereal and has been my go-to cereal ever since it defeated Total Raisin Bran in a taste test. I don't always eat right, so when I know I can get the coverage of a multivitamin in my morning bowl of cereal, I understand that I can get away with a salad for lunch and something meaty for dinner, and not worry about whether I managed to get exactly the right number of orange or green vegetables. The price started climbing on this cereal in the last two years or so, and suddenly what used to be a $2.95 box of cereal was retailing for over $4.00 some weeks. I can clip coupons and hunt, but this particular cereal never seems to go on sale. I'm not sure how Amazon does it, but they have managed to get me four boxes of my everyday breakfast cereal for substantially less than any local grocery store. So now I get what I want, in bulk, delivered to my door for less than it would cost me to go out to the store and buy it. What's not to love? If I can find a few more dry goods in my kitchen that I can order inexpensively from Amazon, I'll be able to get an additional 20% off -- how sweet would that be?! Very.

The box is a bad design. It is too tall for most shelves
The crunch as you eat it and flavor are a 5 star rating.. The box is a bad design. It is too tall for most shelves. It is a waste of card board. A package shape more approaching a cube would be more effective in saving shelf space, cardboard and the plastic enclosure. The present shape Does not allow a more uniform distrubtion of the different ingrediants that are in the mix. The last two servings from the box have most of the smaller pieces and fewer of the large flakes. Change the box shape it is too tall and skinny.

Love the taste, but Lord save us from the sugar!!!
Smart Start is crunchy and delicious-and it should be, since it's one of the most sugar-laden serials on the market. Given the sugar content, they wouldn't be allowed to use this name in Europe- is it really all that "smart" to start your day with 'dessert,' followed by a major sugar crash? God help you - or their teachers - if you're giving this to your kids before school. As an adult I'll buy this every once in a while as a treat, but it's definitely not something I would eat every morning on the regular.

My favorite - just didn't expect a dozen boxes
Love this cereal and moved to a rural area where it is not avail. So thrilled to order 4 boxes just for me and then accidently duplicated order. However, somewhere along the line I checked or didn't uncheck the 'auto reorder' box. So my husband is remodeling the pantry (just kidding) to make room for a dozen boxes. I have to quit ordering online late at night! But will get through them all I'm sure.

Good cereal
I like this cereal. It is healthy and I don't grow tired of it. I have eaten it throughout my pregnancy. It is a nice and easy way to get a boost of what you need first thing of a morning. You can save about a dollar or so a box if you catch it on amazon right. If you get free shipping and no tax, not a bad deal.

Great cereal but sweetened with high Fructose Corn Syrup....
This is not a bad cereal and the taste is pretty good. However I prefer more natural food even if they have a bit of sugar. I don't like the fact that the cereal is made to look healthy although it is sweetened with the unnecessary ingredient, High Fructose Corn Syrup. Natural sweetening with fruits is proffered but if you want to sweeten something just use plain old sugar, not some crappy chemically modified for of corn glucose.Kashi heart to heart and many other Kashi brands are much better and they do not use High fructose Corn Syrup.

instead of the great granola crunch
I was looking for a granola cereal with blueberries and vitamins, which this cereal provides and the new formula for the Kashi granola does not any longer, so I thought I would give it a try. I am on my first box and there is no hint of blueberries, and the flakes get soggy in milk, instead of the great granola crunch, but I can live with it, since I need the vitamins.

Crrrrrruuuunchhh!
Not for the faint of heart. For us people who can’t stomach sad, soggy cereal, these were made for us! Stays oh so crunchy while soaked in milk. The occassional pieces I consider like rocks, but hey, tastes like solid integrity to me. Expiration date of 4-pack I received was better than expected (about a year).
