Skateboard is great but arrived with Knick in the top.
I ordered this as a Christmas gift. The boy loves it, however when it arrived it had a pretty big knick in the wood on top. I didn’t have time to return/replace it as it was a Christmas gift.

what a great board and perfect for a gift.
This Gonex skateboard for beginners, (son) this board is 31 x 8 inch complete and considered a standard skateboard with double kick front and back and 9 layer maple deck that is a concave skateboard for girls & boys. This is a great rigid construction skateboard and is the right size made of the right material. Made of cloth grip tape and with 85a pu cast wheels in 50mm diameter & 30mm thickness that means that they are a great board and moves well. The abec-7 carbon steel bearings & 5-inch aluminum alloy trucks are perfect.Yes, you can buy a much more expensive board but when your kids are learning and sharing this is perfect, so good for a gift for Christmas a party or your little one.The max load-bearing supports up to 220lbs but that is pushing it dads to stay off and let them skate and have fun with this very cool-looking and fashionable board.

It did what it was supposed to do. Great beginner board.
As many have written, this is a great beginner board.NO you will not find anything a skater will not scoff at online at a big retailer.NO you will not find anything a skater will not scoff at a physical big retailer.Once this board has served its purpose, you or your child will be ready to visit a skate shop.Until then, this was a perfect choice for beginning. I am sure the material of this board is exaggerated."Layers of what and what quality?" Is what you should ask yourself.Nevertheless, the construction was good enough till advancement of the next level was achieved.

Good if not great start to skating.
Great start, didn't have a tool to loosen the trucks/wheels to get the plastic wrap off. Otherwise great ride fun colors, and a good beginner board.

Okay for small kids, not adults.
Bought this over a year ago for my daughter. She didn't use it much so I decided to try it. Worked okay for just riding around, just getting the feel of it. Tried to Ollie and broke the tail. Very weak plywood. I guess you'd expect that from a cheap board. I recommend CCS completes. Much nicer and holds up well for a beginner board.

Know your Skateboard
This review isn't about how my skateboard got damaged while being delivered nor how bad the quality and in comparison between a proper skateboard and its proper equipment to this "beginner" skateboard.I've studied my skateboard quite extensively. This skateboard is by no means to be ridden by heavy people. About around 135lbs. If you compare the brands in the skateboard industry (Santa Cruz [Deck], Indy [Trucks], Spitfire [Wheels], Bones Red [Bearings], etc.) to this, this complete skateboard you are about to purchase is abysmal at best on all parts. There are many things that are very wrong as they may call this skateboard a beginner friendly. But it's okay, all skateboard is meant to be disposable.First of all, the axle of the truck should be the same width as the deck width, 8 inches in this case, but the width of the axle is narrower, reducing stability which is highly important for anyone not used to stances on the deck. The trucks should be strong and durable. If your truck alloy breaks in the middle of the session, you are not going to have a good time. Kingpins govern the stability of the deck with bushings. Tighter the bolt increased the stability the deck will have while you are on it. But I didn't know I broke both kingpins with a few jumps and ollies. Now it does not turn properly because the kingpins are dislocated. The deck is rather a bit flimsy but it's strong enough to carry an average person. Wheels are a good size but if you turn too much, your wheels may touch the bottom of the deck while rolling, making you lose balance abruptly. This is called a wheel bite. Don't overhang (overcarving) with this deck, even if you tightened the bushings, or you will fall from wrist to shoulders by its wheel bite. Protect your head at all times. Bearings are kinda bad but it isn't important to you if you are just learning on a flat ground. But again, the skateboard is meant to be destroyed by hard work. Visit local/online skateboard shops, and use my references to shop while learning all about them one by one. You will be an expert on skateboard parts in no time.Or if you are looking for a challenge, you might want to pick this up as your experiment. It's not all bad. The truck height is relatively low, so you might become comfortable with many leg angles and positions.A less stable and durable skateboard will make you more careful. If you like to live dangerously, you can give it a try on this terrible skateboard. If you are familiar with recent video games, skateboarding is very similar to Elden Rings from FromSoft. Remember to wear wristguards at all times, it is good to learn how to fall by rolling but you will probably use your wrists to save yourself. It is a bad habit but you will do it. The helmet is required on your day one, especially when you plan to cruise but once you are comfortable with the board, be responsible and foresee every situation you may face on the terrain you are going to ride your skateboard, please do not vert with this board. On flat ground, you probably won't need one. Just skate within your ability with comfortable spaces between you and obstacles around you. Knee pads are good if you plan to cruise your deck. By leaning forward, you can prevent from falling backward which you want to teach your body, and use the knee pads to absorb the impact. If you plan to do any shuvits or no complies in your training session, consider getting shin pads comfortable enough to move around. During these moves, the deck will spin toward the shin. Without posture studied, the deck will hit your shins, possibly even break your shins. If you do not live dangerously in skateboarding, you will not able to push yourself to become a good skater. So I am not really hurting these guys' skateboards. Believe me, I bought it, rode it, broke it. And I've got an ollie and nollie. After learning about this skateboard, I just wanted a stable skateboard. My star rating is based on the actual material quality they've used to assemble this skateboard model. But as a skater, any of these standard specs do not matter. If you skate, who cares, falling is just a part of the game. It's a little unstable funnily enough because of the quality of the material and by improper spec axle width of the deck. This is the cheapest skateboard on Amazon, do you really care about the quality of material when you are just starting out? If the skateboard is going to be discarded one day, you will probably want an upgrade instead. There are several components you may want to salvage after this skateboard is broken, you will probably save some money:Risers (prevent wheel bites by increasing the height of the deck but this deck is prone to wheel bites.), spacers (very important to have between 2 bearings per wheel, it prevents wheel bolts to damage inner wheel urethane by being tightened to hard, and a deck itself (if you didn't break the deck, use it as a balance board without any trucks, you can ride it at home. The decision is yours. You or anyone receiving any spectrum of the skateboard will fall. Just don't fall backward, being slipped out of the board is just a game but learn and adapt so you do not fall into serious injuries. Stay on flat ground until you are ready, and ride your skateboard without caring what others might think of you.

Fun for Grandkids
Though my grandson wasn't sure he would enjoy skateboarding, he spent two days in our basement practicing. This kept him away from video games! YES! The quality seems good. We loosened the screws so he could turn corners since he is only 8 years old. It was a good decision. My granddaughter absolutely loved hers. She is 10 years old and had practiced on a friends skateboard before. They loved them.

My daughter loves it!
My daughter wanted this skateboard for her birthday. It came in 2 days after order it and she absolutely loves it. It did come with the most ridiculous stickers that we threw out because they had nothing to do with any interests a 13 year old would be into but the skateboard itself is great.

Planche de Qualité très basse
The media could not be loaded.
