Full of typos and errors
While the guidance offered in the physical book is sound, the true value of this purchase should be in the "computer adaptive tests" offered online—and Princeton Review's tests are riddled with errors. These range from glaring typographical errors (misspelled words and missing punctuation) to gross technical errors (tables, numbers, or other aspects of the online test problems appearing distorted, in the wrong place, or sometimes not at all, like when a "does not equals" sign is replaced by a question mark). These issues are most egregious in the verbal and integrated reasoning sections, where it can make it difficult or even impossible to answer the question correctly. In some cases, Princeton Review will also identify the wrong answer as being the "correct" answer, as demonstrated in discrepancies between the answer explanation (e.g. "The answer is 2") and the answer that is marked as correct (e.g. "4").Some of the questions are also repeated from practice test to practice test, reducing the effectiveness of each test and contributing to the overall sense of laziness. This is a shoddily put together product and may do more harm than good in cases where the user is unable to distinguish the source of his or her error. However, since the book is largely sound, Princeton Review can improve their product with a thorough copyedit and tech review of their online tests.
