Second purchase
I had purchased the Primula Burke prior and since it was easy to use and glass, purchased this one. Needed another since we brew 2 types of coffee a week, and have thought of getting a third. Had this one for 2 years and just hit the top on the counter washing it and it broke. Now back to purchase another.

The press for the item didn't work as well as I thought it would. But the other filter works wonderful!!

Great purchase
I wasn't sure about cold brew but now I'm totally on board. This pitcher is incrediblyeasy to use and easy to clean. The bottom of the filter screws off to fully rinse and clean. It's plastic so be easy on it. I'm sure with force it would break. The rubber ring in the inner lid is my only complaint. It doesn't do a great job of staying in place. From time to time the whole lid will rise up when filling with water. The rubber gasket doesn't do is job. Lol. I do the over night 12-24hr brew and it's some of the best tasting coffee I've had. The flavours really pop.Worth the money for sure.

Great product and easy to clean filter
I had to switch to cold brew coffee to try to reduce acidity and reflux. I bought this on recommendation of a family member. I love how easy it is to clean out the grounds. I will never consider another brand with a ground filter without a bottom that unscrews. I am on a septic system and should not be getting coffee grounds into my drain. I pull a paper towel through the filter after getting most of the grounds out in the garbage can. So easy. I only like hot coffee. I add about a third mug of water to 2/3 brewed coffee, heat it in the microwave, and I am good to go! Rarely get reflux after coffee anymore. One batch lasts me two days. I did return a different Primula model because the glass was thinner and I felt it would be too easy to break. This is sturdy and wonโt be knocked over in my refrigerator.

Filter too small and coffee weak
The design as a whole is just fine, but the mesh filter that holds the coffee is far too small for the amount of water space available. Coffee is way too weak, especially considering that one usually pours it over ice. But even without the ice, it's just too thin and weak. I let it brew 24 hours as the instructions suggested. But here's the problem: the mesh is extremely fine, almost like cloth. I'm not sure if the coffee is not able to leach as well or what. If you fill the entire mesh filter with coffee grounds, then you also have to fill the pitcher up to the top with water or only half the coffee in the filter will get wet. You can't reason that you could fill the filter full of coffee and then just put in half the water to get a stronger brew. You'd only be brewing from half the coffee grounds. So here's what I did, I just ended up pulling the filter out and dumping the grounds straight into the pitcher of water, therefore I could get more coffee in there to the ratio of water. Then I screwed the lid back on.Now all that I have to do is every time I want to drink a glass of iced coffee, I just use a little hand sieve and hold it over my cup as I pour the coffee into my cup. It's actually a very easy solution and you can manage the brew strength much more easily. But all this to say, then you don't need to spend the money on a fancy-schmancy pitcher with filter. You could use a mason jar or any old glass (not plastic) pitcher you might have around, and just cover it if it does not have a lid. No point spending the money on this pitcher with the filter that doesn't do the job anyway (Unless you're Canadian. They drink the weakest coffee on the planet. Theirs looks like tea. Therefore this pitcher would work well for them.)

Easy to clean
Easy to use and clean. I like to put 2 scoops of coffee in the filter at a time and then wet them and pour more. Otherwise you'll get a big clump of dry coffee grounds that float at the top.

Amazing for cold brew
This cold brew maker is very easy to assemble and disassemble. It is easy to clean and even if it stains it comes right off. Itโs amazing for when you are busy and want cold brew because it lasts a few days in the fridge. Highly recommend!

Easy and delicious
I read a review that the coffee is too weak, but I get a very rich flavored brew in the 24 hours suggested. I think the important step is making sure the grounds in the center filter are well soaked before the rest of the carafe is filled. I put pulses of cold water directly from my tap into the filter, letting it drain through into the carafe between each pulse. When the grounds are soaked, I then finish by putting water into the carafe. This is as good as any cold brew I've had at a coffee house. This is easy to use and clean and fits nicely on the door of my refrigerator. I highly recommend this. Do make sure you use a high quality coffee to start with.
