Surprised by the nice-ness of this product for the price. It include plenty of cleaning solution, and the addition of the small brush is nice too. This made a larger difference in playback than I expected.

I started my record collection after my mom gave me some of hers (some of these are at least 40 years old). I was skeptical that this brush and solution wouldn't be enough to clean records that have been sitting for quite a long time, but the brush has done a great job of getting dust off them! I use 2-3 sprays of solution on the brush for the old records I have, but I've also been using one spray on the brush to give any new records a quick cleaning before playing. The brush does a great job of clearing off dust; sometimes I do find myself needing to use a microfiber cloth to get a little line of dust off the record (the brush doesn't pick up 100% - maybe 85-90%), but I don't really mind that. I've used this both while I have the record spinning on the turntable and while I have them stationary on a table - just use circular motions to clean if you aren't spinning it. If the velvet brush accumulates dust and starts to look dirty, I wipe the edge with a microfiber cloth and that cleans it right off. The stylus brush has been useful also! Definitely a good investment to keep both the new and old records clean!

This was a birthday gift for my daughter.I wound up giving it to her early as my husband and I recently brought her a bunch of old records from my mother-in-law and my husbands aunt. Back in the day, I owned something very similar to the set and know how useful these can be.She seemed very happy to receive it and will not be using a microfiber cloth anymore.I wanted to add a little update to this review. I purchased another one of these for my son-in-law for Christmas and he seemed quite happy to get it. Before buying another, I asked my daughter for her thoughts after having more time to use it.She said it was pretty amazing. I am certain that some of the records in that box I mentioned earlier had not been played in 20 years or more.She said there were some that by looking at them, she thought they were ruined but they actually played after a good cleaning. I remember her playing a couple that sounded absolutely terrible and after cleaning them, the difference in sound was hugely improved.Of course it couldn’t do anything about the major scratches but luckily a lot of them did just need a good deep cleaning.

This compact cleaning brush for your vintage records and the additional small cleaning brush for needles are great in brining those old records stored in the basement for years back to life!
