Worked very well, didn't damage the sofa
Did not damage the furniture, and worked VERY quickly to stop our cat from scratching the sofa. In fact, she was sort of afraid of the sofa for a while because she couldn't figure out what had happened. She has long hair, so her paws really stuck to the sheets and pulled just a few hairs out (didn't hurt her, just freaked her out). We thought it would take a long time so we got a package with a lot of sheets, and we wound up using the extra sheets as giant "pet hair removers" to get the cat hair out of our clothing.

Lifesaver for My Furniture—And Super Well-Made! 😻🛋️✨
The Panther Armor Cat Scratch Furniture Protector has been an absolute must-have in my home. My cats used to scratch my couch constantly, but ever since I applied these, they’ve completely stopped touching the areas I covered. It’s honestly the most effective thing I’ve tried so far.The tape comes with both XL and large sheets, which is super convenient for covering different pieces of furniture. The thickness is just right—it’s thin enough to be flexible and easy to apply, but thick enough to hold up well and actually stop claws. The build quality is great too—feels durable, not cheap or flimsy at all, and it sticks really well without leaving behind residue when removed. The color is clear, so it blends in nicely and doesn’t ruin the look of my furniture. You can barely tell it’s there unless you're really looking for it, which I love. And there’s no smell at all, which is a huge plus for me since I’m sensitive to scents (and my cats are too).If you’re dealing with scratch-happy cats, this stuff is totally worth it. Great quality, no odor, easy to use, and—best of all—it works. Can’t recommend it enough! 🐾💖

Sticky surface gets smooth
Strange reactionAfter a while, my cat seems to like it, and I’ve seen him rubbing his face on it??? I guess the sticky wears off?

Works so well!!
I’m pissed I didn’t order this years ago! It’s crazy how well it works!! I got a new couch a week ago and my ten yr old cat who’s destroyed 5 couches hasn’t touched it!! I already ordered more!! Definitely worth it! I’ve tried everything including caps on his nails. This is the only thing that has worked

Jury's out
I have three naughty kitties so when we invested in new furniture we went with microsuede and other pets friendly fabrics. However, the sides of our ottomans were a temptation and even a pet-proof couch fabric ended up with a few snags.I got this tape to try to break the cycle. It says not to use on microsuede so I only applied it to the 2 fabrics in the photo. The cats don't like the tape but neither do I. It's double sided and very sticky. I put some on the armrest of the couch and that's where I keep getting stuck. The wheeled ottomans have tape on all 4 sides. This caused them to stick to the couch and to each other. This results in the tape tearing or balling up so I can't say how effective this product is. It might be better to just use clear packing tape even though I liked the size.

Clear Scratch Guards That Actually Work on Fabric Furniture
The media could not be loaded. I have five cats and a white designer couch. Not the best combination, I know. I’ve tried so many ways to stop them from scratching the sides, but nothing really worked or looked decent. These Panther Armor scratch protectors are the first thing that actually solved the problem. They come in different sizes and are completely clear, so I was able to cover the couch without making it look strange. Once they’re on, you can barely see them. My couch still looks great, and now there are no claw marks. They’re really easy to apply. Just peel and press. They stick well, stay in place, and haven’t damaged the fabric at all. I smoothed them out with my hands, and that was it. Simple. At first, my cats were curious, but once they felt the texture, they stopped scratching. That alone makes it worth it. Now they go back to using their scratching posts instead. If you love your furniture and want something that actually works, I recommend giving these a try. I’ll definitely be buying more for other rooms.

One complaint, but works great!
I'm putting this at the start in case the company checks reviews - on the product sheet insert, the company thanks customers for not declawing their cats. This is a great message, except as shown in the second image of my review, it uses a photo of a cat getting their claws trimmed to illustrate the point. While I'd like to think people understand it's just a picture, I've actually met cat owners who declawed their cats and believed it was as harmless as a normal nail trim with a nail clipper. What would be far better than misrepresenting the declawing procedure would be explaining what it does to a cat - for anyone unfamiliar, a cat's claws are fully integrated into their skeletal structure so declawing them is the mechanical equivalent of losing your fingertips, NOT your fingernails. It can seriously affect their balance and causes a lot of mental stress for some cats. A nail clipper, if designed for cats and kept away from the nail bed (or the "quick") is a safe and humane tool in contrast - and keeping claws trimmed can even encourage some cats to use healthy sharpening toys like scratching posts!!That said, the product is great so far! There's no real scent, and the packaging is GREAT, no unnecessary waste! Reading the instructions was quick, and applying the sheet was a breeze. My cat (see photo 3 for the accused hiding on a shelf) was never a furniture destroyer so this is my first time needing a product like this, but in her old age (going on 15-16) she'll chew and swallow sisal fibers compulsively so I had to switch out her traditional wrapped scratching post for one with knitted sisal. Sufficed to say she isn't pleased by the new fancy post and instead began using the corner of my bed to scratch. I have linen sheets so at the beginning this didn't damage them (pro tip for other cat owners: linen's weave is loose enough that claws will rarely snag on threads!) but after four months of not being able to get her to pay attention to the scratching post, even linen fell prey to her little claws and she tore a little hole in the fitted sheet last week. So, enter the panther tape! I applied a mid-size sheet to the area she goes for (corner of my bed, check the first review photo!) and put the scratching post closer to it as incentive. It's a little noticeable if your furniture is front facing, but if you're like me and want to use this on your bed, the stickiness that's on the outside isn't as strong as the adhesive on the inside, so you can safely hide it under a duvet or flat sheet. I'll update my review at the one month mark, when I plan to take the sheet off and see if my cat's lost interest! If not, there are plenty more sheets in the package, and in three different sizes, so it's a great value for the cost.
