Was amazed at how much this brightened up my kitchen! Very happy with the purchase, I can't speak to the longevity of the bulb as I've only had it a few months, guess I can update this when it dies.

I bought both a 12" and an 8" T9 Conversion Bulb Kit so that i could use the same kitchen fixture by simply bypassing the dead ballast. First, the packaging was more than adequate to insure the bulbs arrived intact. The build material is solid, appearing to be made of a polycarbonate type material. Here are my observations and suggested installation steps to save you some headaches:Pro's:1. They are frosted white, so they will be diffused slightly.2. They have built in ventilation holes on their underside to keep them as cool as possible.3. LED bulbs will save you quite a bit of money over the 25,000 hours they are rated to last.4. They are a bright 1,300 lumens with a daylight like white color instead of the dingy look you may have been used to.5. They should fit inside your existing fixture and brackets that hold them in, however they do include extra hardware should you need to replace them.6. All the hardware needed for installation is included, such as wire nuts.7. Instant on, no flickering.Con's:1. Instructions are brief, leaving out some crucial points that would be helpful.2. Cannot use with any dimmer switches.3. The wire harness attached underneath the bulb, which causes clearance issues between the bulb and the ceiling. Not a huge issue, but it will be snug up against.Okay, here are a few helpful tips that will make your install easier and make things clean and efficient:1. There are 2 sets of white AND two sets of black wires on the included wire harness. I recommend first stripping more of the conduit off those wires so you have more exposed wire length, perhaps twice the length that they have already been stripped from the factory. This will allow you to twist your wires together and make better contact to the wire nut. Once you have the bulbs up in the fixture it proves to be much more difficult.2. The fact that there are two white wires, and two black wires might be confusing to some. You only need one black and one white technically, so simply twist the two white to one another and do the same with the two black. I hope this helps for those who were wondering what to do with the extra white and black wire!3. Make sure the connector wiring harness is installed underneath the bulb, in other words between the ceiling (or fixture) and the bulb and NOT running over top of the bulb which would both block some of the light leaving an apparent black line and also could cause the wiring to get hot on the bulbs front surface. Note that the under surface of each bulb does not light up thus will be much cooler.

Installed quickly in my magnifying lamp that I’ve had for 20 years. Was so happy to not have to buy another lamp. Very clean light that makes board repair much easier to see

Hooked it up it light up for like 4 seconds then went out. Never to work again. I'm sure if I complained customer service would of helped. But was not worth the headache for me to deal with it.

Had to use a file to enlarge the socket on the light. Included plug was square. Socket on light was oveled at one end. Hopefully I got all the metal shavings out of the lamp. Fits a t8 perfectly and super bright

Used this, and its larger diameter mate, to replace fluorescents of the same size in a utility room fixture...REALLY brightened up the room,,,,

Used the kit plus a switch to convert a Fluorescent desk lamp to LED. Very bright with 5k lumens, and the wife is very happy.

Much brighter than the fluorescent tubes it replaced , directions can be a little bit vague it would really help if you have prior AC house wiring experience.
