Good Budget-Friendly Tablet
**Edit:I'm editing my review because I originally wrote my review because I was contacted by the company to write a review in exchange for a $30 gift card. They stated they wanted an HONEST review, and in exchange, they'd send me the gift card. So, that's what's below, an honest review, I promise! They've since contacted me 2 times, asking for me to change my review to 5 stars (I originally had it at 4 because of the poor camera quality and my inability to use it for social media posts, which is half the reason I got it). If I changed it to 5 stars, they told me I'd be put on a list to get their new products for free so I can review them. But, I'd only be put on it if I changed it to 5 stars, doesn't matter if I had a good reason for it being 4.This time, they offered me another $20 gift card AND being put on the list to change my review to 5 star. Now, while someone else might take that offer, I had a legit reason to have it at 4 stars. It's NOT a 5 star product. Nor can I be swayed by being bought. They bought an HONEST review; they didn't buy a 5 star review from me.So, I took it down a star because they're soliciting people for 5 STAR reviews, which is shady and doesn't help the consumer at all. I, myself, look at the reviews to see what people's honest results are about things before I buy them. If a review is just marked as 5 stars because the company wants a lot of 5 stars, then that doesn't help anyone but the company. I thought it important that you all know! I wouldn't trust 5 star ratings on any dragon touch product, anymore.I had an older Dragon Touch model and knew I liked the layout, as well as the price, so I looked into getting an updated one. I couldn't get newer apps on the older one, and it was just a lot slower (which I still use for digital books). So, I decided on this Notepad 102.Overall, I'm pretty happy with the tablet. It was affordable, good screen, touch. Everything works good for my purposes of web surfing and creating gardens on apps lol.One thing that's great is the sound. I mean, compared to my dad's laptop, the sound is 10x louder on the tablet. I wouldn't say it's the best quality sound you can get, but it's definitely loud enough to hear over a dog barking lol.The one thing I was disappointed with was the camera. I was hoping to be able to use it for instagram, but the picture quality is just too grainy to warrant even bothering with putting the app on it.It's kind of hard to find covers, but I did finally find one. I did originally get the cover with the keyboard that Dragon Touch offers, but I was having a lot of problems with it. It'd disconnect whenever I'd close it. I'd have to take it completely off if I wanted to use the touch screen of the tablet. So, it was just more of a pain, so I ended up returning it and getting a regular flip cover for it.But, if you're wanting a good, budget friendly tablet to watch videos on and surf the web, then this is a great little tablet!

You get what you pay for
Overall verdict after 1 month of use: Very reasonably priced, with a professional enough look and feel that it doesn't feel like a kids' device, but has a couple flaws that probably were inevitable at this price point.I was looking for an inexpensive tablet as a reading device (while wanting more flexibility than a dedicated ebook reader) and saw this tablet mentioned in a comment on an online article about "best tablets" as a suggestion for a gem that was missing from the list. I wanted to avoid Kindle and upon looking this up it seemed to be a very reasonably priced alternative, and got good enough reviews so I decided to go for it.The tablet seems mostly well-constructed. The back is brushed aluminum which isn't necessarily my favorite look (would have preferred either a smooth silver finish or colored aluminum options) but the metal body makes it feel a little more high end and not so plasticky. The charging port is basically my one complaint with the construction, as the USB C port seems kinda... wobbly? The cable can be wiggled around when it's plugged in which makes me a bit nervous to damage the device. This happens with both the cable that came with the tablet as well as a higher end USB C cable I bought previously for a different device, so it is definitely the tablet's fault and not the cable. The screen is fine, I have no idea what the description means by "2.5D curved screen" as the screen seems flat to me, but the color/contrast seems fine (and can be lightly adjusted in the system settings) and the touch response is good so no complaints. The 1280x800px resolution does feel kinda low for a 10in device (Kindle Fire 10 has 1080p and even most cellphones nowadays get higher resolution than this on much smaller screens), but this is a very inexpensive tablet so I can't really be too upset. On the software side, the operating system support is a little out of date and the tablet is a little bit laggy on some operations, but nothing unbearable. Android 10 is still popular and development supported and generally fine to use, but at the time I purchased the tablet (February 2021) the operating system was already a year and a half old and a whole major version behind, which might cause some issues in the long run with software support. The device does not seem to support updating to Android 11 and certainly not to the upcoming Android 12.

Tablet has several deal breakers
I opened the tablet yesterday, turned it on and it was charged to 94%. The tablet and screen looked great and solid good quality, I have multiple Samsung, LG & Nexus tablets around. I was hopeful that this I can get a cheaper priced tablet and be satisfied based on the reviews I read about the unit. I looked at the charger that came with the unit to see it was a USB A charger with a USB A - C cable. I have USB C chargers and plugs throughout the house so I plugged it into one of them. No charge. I went to the other 4 chargers including the car, same thing. I pulled out their charger and plugged it in and the charging worked. If you have a house hold full of USB C to USB C Chargers it will not charge this device! I charged the unit to 100% and installed my account and apps. I was a little concerned as the process was only about a half hour, the tablet dropped to less than 80%. This morning I used the tabled about an 2 hours and the battery dropped to 25%. This was mixed use, primarily browsing and a little video playing. I am sending it back as I don't want to carry extra USB A chargers around. I really wished the charging and battery life was not an issue thus will be sending the unit back for refund. The speed and quality look good.
