Great stuff if used correctly.
I used this between 2 sheets of drywall to dampen noise in my apt building. Tenants were complaining that they could hear the neighbor snore. I used more than the manufacturer recommends -- 3 tubes per sheet and only left an inch on the edge for fingers to grab as we hung on the wall. The manufacturer recommends leaving 2 inches, but that means you have a 4 inch gap of glue between butted sheets! Not good. Use liberally and put it on in a silly string pattern. Be sure to use the caulking to seal all edges even between sheets, cuts and around the perimeter. The trick to soundproofing is not to let any air get through! This stuff can get messy, but it cleans up easily with water. If installing over finished floors or carpet, put a drop cloth or something down to avoid any mess. Tools and hands easily clean up with water.

Super easy application
Very easy to apply. Time will tell how effective this project will be on reducing the neighbors TV noise. Used 2 tubes per sheet and completely sealed all gaps. Also used putty pads behind electrical boxes. Existing wall was CMU BLOCK with 2 1/2” nailers and minimal fiberglass insulation on each neighbors wall. Now my side has the addition of green glue and sealant on added 5/8” sheet rock —> 1” air gap —> 2x4 frame with Owens 3” mineral sound insulation—> 6 mil vapor barrier —> and 3/4” barn wood. So far, dead quiet.

Just about perfect.
This combo box is just about exactly what you need if you cut your drywall correctly. If you have some bigger gaps around the edges you will need a bit more sealant. This was a godsend. Noisy neighbors living room and kitchen was up against our bedroom wall. Added two heavy drywall layers over the existing drywall. Don't use the lightweight drywall as you want mass to help deaden the sound. This caulk with the green glue compound made it completely quiet in our room. Before we could hear the kitchen cabinets closing and Thier TV, now nothing. Didn't think it would work this well. As soon as the last piece of drywall was put in place you could hear the difference. Takes 90 days or so to get the full effect.

It is really hard to say that i would or wouldnt recommend that product, it did help a bit for soundproofing, but soundproofing is so complicated... i dont want to blame the product, just to say that effect is minimal, that said probably because by other factors.

I *REALLY* wanted this product to work.
REPOSTING this review here, I purchased the Combo Pack.I *REALLY* wanted this stuff to work, but sadly I can say that -in my situation- it didn't make much of a difference in reducing the sound from my neighbors next door. I bought the 10+2 combo kit to help with noise coming from a wall I share with a neighbor in my apartment building. The noise coming from my neighbor - before I installed the drywall and Green Glue - was not very loud. They don't typically play loud music or have the TV on at a loud volume, but I could hear them talking on the phone and to each other. Not so loud that I could make out what they were saying, but I could still hear it. I figured with the addition of Green Glue and another layer of 5/8ths sheetrock - I would be able to block out that faint noise. Again, my neighbors are not loud so I figured with the Green Glue + thick drywall application, I would not be able to hear them at all.The wall I treated is about 8'2 x 17'. The floor and ceiling of my room are steel and cement with a solid 12 inch steel and cement column on either side of the wall as you can see from the pictures. The shared wall is approximately 5 - 5 1/2 inches thick made of plaster/cement.I used roughly 2 and 1/2 tubes of Green Glue per 4x8 sheet and Green Glue Sealant in between sheets and also at the top and bottom of each sheet to fill the 1/8th recommended gap.The GG was easy to work with and went on easily. 5/8 drywall is not light, so the hardest part of the install was carrying the sheets into the apartment.I put the sheets up and waited for my neighbors to make some noise. It wasn't long before they came home, and my heart sank a bit...I could still hear them. Again not loud, but just a little bit less than before. I remembered reading reviews that said the GG needs to cure, 7-30 days... so I waited... and hoped!I'm now about 45 days in, and unfortunately I can still hear my neighbors. It's not quite as loud as before, I'd say a 20%-30% improvement but I think that reduction is very likely due to the addition of the sheet rock. In other words if I had just added another layer of dry wall without the GG I think the results would have been about the same. The gg does de-couple the new wall from the existing wall so in theory it must be helping some, but any cheap and flexible silicone caulk would do the same. The other option I considered was adding Roxul Insulation and then the added layer of sheet rock instead of the GG which would have given me a true separation. If I had to do it over again, that's the way I would go.at $200 plus 60 for the drywall, not to mention the labor of painting, spackling and hanging I'm truly disappointed with the results.

Great product to make a huge improvement in our duplex
This product does what it says! It was used as directed to deaden sound on existing walls and has cut the transfer of sound almost completely! (Probably 95%) We did not use any additional products to achieve these results. Great product to make a huge improvement in our duplex!

Great price for 12 tubes
If you know what green glue is, then you don't need a review on it. If you don't know what it is, what are you doing here...read up on it. As far as I can report, this is a great price for 12 tubes.
