This was a gift for my husband and he was quite impressed when he saw it. He made a really large cutting board for 20 lb turkeys many, many years ago. (So he is picky about workmanship.) Now I'm doing turkey breasts for Thanksgiving, and we need a smaller one. I was afraid he would say he could have made one, but he is really happy with this carving board, and it was definitely a surprise. He loves the quality, said the brush will work well to clean it, and we both think it's beautiful.

I like the beautiful acacia wood for the price and the center diamond pattern design on cutting board designed pm to hold meat in place for carving and the fact that there are grooves to collect the juice from roasts, turkey and ham.

This board is heavier and thicker than I thought. Not disappointed. The groves and channels are deeper than I expected which is fantastic. I am very very pleased about it. Worth every penny. Finally after cooking a whole chicken I have a carving board and do not have drippings going everywhere. Could probably fit a whole turkey on this as well.

This is too small to carve a turkey on BUT it works well for steaks, briskets, etc. The grooves are deep! Which makes up for the size. More meat carving boards should have grooves this deep. Catches all the juices and keeps your counter tops clean. Beautiful to serve on too! Made a great Christmas gift for my husband. We got cutting board oil to maintain the wood and quality. Hand wash only!
