Great Camera
I was going to return because I accidentally bought two of essentially the same camera. But I had to come on here and say how nice the seller is and the quality of this camera is insane(really good). You can tell they really care about their customers. I decided to keep it as a back up :))

Small, great for travel, solid battery life
Bought this for international travel. Inexpensive, small, great battery life. Pics are good, but a tad on the dark side. Controls are all standard and intuitive. The image stabilization is a great touch. My only issue is the wifi image transfer experience. The android app is unnecessarily cumbersome, it's lacking some key features (selecting a path for downloads), and it doesn't connect to any cloud services. If I wanted to connect via PC, I would need the Windows app. Seriously?! It's 2017. Just give me a web portal that I can access through a browser.

The Perfect Camera for your Family
We adore this camera! It is wonderfully small and easily carried within your pocket or purse. The images taken with it are always stunning with a fantastic optical zoom image that guarantees you can take photos from a variety of distances with the images remaining crisp (with that said, I NEVER use the Digital Zoom as I have never seen good results using these modes on any camera). The camera also comes with multiple options, but we don't tend to use them given how well it collects photos under normal circumstances. I also enjoy the long battery life that allows for lot of pictures to be collected before it is time to recharge the camera. All in all, I could not recommend this camera more as it has been a perfect camera for my family!

Love the pics and the wireless upload works great!
I had to replace a Kodak camera my daughter bought me several years ago which worked great up until this past week when it would take a picture, but when trying to review the picture, it would state, "format not recognized." I tried everything to correct the issue, but nothing worked. So...went looking for another, similar style camera. This Cannon ELPH has some updated features and a reasonable review rate - seems like everything has some 1 star reviews...strange how people can have such totally different experiences with the same item! Anyway, I've found that any item with at least a 50% 5-star review ratings from well over 100 reviewers will probably be "safe" to order. I received this as a used item, but it came in the original box with everything a new one is shipped with. Charged the battery in the included battery charger, popped the battery in the camera, took a couple of quick pics, set up the download to my computer (hint for others - your computer has to set up files too, so you can't just download to your computer without making sure both your camera and your computer recognize each other - whatever your network password is to get into your wireless network will have to be input into the camera and your computer will need to download drivers for the camera...). Anyway, all that done, the pics were downloaded to my computer and they look good. I'm happy with this purchase and that's what matters, right?

The camera itself is great. It works really well
The camera itself is great. It works really well, is simple to use, compact and took some great pictures on my recent vacation. Where the 3 stars comes in is the wifi feature. This was one of the reasons I selected this particular camera, thinking I could easily connect and upload the pictures straight to my computer. What I didn't realize, was I had to register for Canon's photo service, which was not sending me the email verification I needed to actually use it until several tries later. Users are also required to download software from Canon to connect the camera and after much searching for the network on the camera, I could never connect. The name of my computer was even showing up on the camera screen, but it always said the connection was lost. This was so frustrating that I finally just went back online and purchased the USB connector for this camera (which I think should have been included). The whole process just seemed so much more complicated than it should have been. All in all, the camera itself works exactly as I hoped, but if you go for it, make sure you buy the cable to connect and upload your pics!

Works better than expected
Easy to use in Automatic mode. Photos very clear and crisp. Movies are only 720p but very satisfactory. Microphone pickup is marginal. Battery cost for spares is very reasonable, genuine Canon are around $10. I picked up a charger here on Amazon for under $10 that I can use with micro USB charging devices such as battery power packs. After watching a few videos and actually READING the manual I easily set up wireless picture transfer with my Android phone, IPad, Win10 computer and Canons photo repository site. For $150 I don't think I could have got any better features. Time will tell how the plastic case holds up.

Avoid at all costs!!! Cheaply made, battery has short life, tons of crud in lets.
I needed a pocket camera that I can grab and go with when I don't want to haul my larger pro gear around. Mad did I make a mistake with this camera. I'm a semi-pro photographer. Have been for 40 years. I KNOW camera gear. I've taught photo classes forever. I can tell you that although this LOOKS like a great camera, within a couple of months (AKA after warranty is up) it's a brick.Battery life: Maybe 30 flash photos or 60-70 non-flash. Constantly recharging it.Focus: Never focuses on what you want. Focuses at brightest spot, even if it's almost off screen.Crud: This was the final straw. After a few weeks, all my photos were getting artifacts in the photos. Point in the direction of a bright light and it looked like a snow storm. There was an incredible amount of fibers and particles BETWEEN the lens elements. The largest looked like blurry areas. Every single one created a lens flare. Photos were useless. Just like the camera.I love their high-end cameras. I have two of them and a dozen lenses. I would NEVER get one of these piece of junk again.
