Comes in a very heavy box. Must assemble kit and door is in slats, you’re literally building the door! Wasn’t super clear in the description, so that was a fine surprise.It was a little tricky with adding the hardware and to mount it, need to buy an additional board + hardware for your wall. It took me about 2 hours to assemble, but instructions were clear and all pieces included. If you’re hiring someone to install for you, read the instructions for size of header board needed and don’t forget the screws for drill that contractor will need to mount the header board on first. The header board is important so don’t damage your wall and can get the door weight on the studs and not drywall. If going directly into wall, you have to be sure where your studs are when hang rail and relationship to door opening, the header board allows you to have flexibility and safer than damaging your wall as handles most the weight.It doesn’t get a great close (most barn doors don’t!) but looks really nice and cost a fraction of other options. My second choice cost 5x this, so overall glad I took a risk on this kit and it looks much more expensive, feels heavy & quality.

I took off my bathroom door and installed this barn door. Easy to put together and glides nicely. The price was also great, nice addition to the room.

The door arrived a day early and was easy to assemble. I half expected some parts to be missing or damaged but everything was there and intact. I was able to assemble the door in 10 minutes (mounting the door took significantly longer). The door rolls smooth and quietly. Certainly exceeded my expectations for the price.

When ordered, it said delivered on Friday. It came on Monday. Cardboard was in good shape, I was impressed how all the parts were wrapped in foam. Good instructions, easy to follow. Highly recommend you put a 1x6 on the wall, drilled into studs. My studs are 20"OC and the 16" drilled holes on the rail just didnt work. Fairly easy to install. My wife and I had no arguments or disagreements, that says a lot. Since this is the secret entrance to my bat cave, I couldnt be happier with the quality of this product. I am very happy with the door and how it moves. Would recommend to everyone.

We purchased this barn door because we had to remove a door to install a new stack-able washer/dryer that was a bit larger than the older unit in our beach condo. It is nice quality, works well and is beautiful. We did hire a handy man to put it together to ensure it was assembled and installed correctly. Our only complaint is that it does not come with the piece of wood the track needs to be installed for support. The instructions don't mention this piece of wood until the end. So, just make sure to buy an extra piece of wood from the hardware store and you will be all set.

Super heavy and nice

I am amazed at the quality of this product for the price at which we bought it! I was a little worried about the fact that it comes unassembled, but the assembly was so simple, and it probably only took about 15 minutes to put it together. I was also worried about the quality of the product and how it would look, but I read all the reviews with pictures and decided to take a chance. I am so glad I did. I couldn’t be more pleased. It looks so nice; even nicer than the previous barn door we had that was actually made of solid wood! I recommend locating studs in your wall and securing a board to to the studs and then installing the hardware to the board, because this door is pretty heavy.
