Great Drum Throne
I'm happy with this drum throne. I've had others that the seat was wobbly. But this one is solid and comfortable. Cheers!

You need to assemble correctly
I have read in many reviews of this product that state that the seat wobbles after assembly. There is no issue with stability if assembled correctly. You need to set the seat to the proper height, spin the knurled collar down to the point where the threaded seat post meets the body of the tripod, then lock the seatpost in position with the thumbscrew. Then adjust the two lower thumbscrews on the tripod to the point where they just make contact. Do not tighten them fully. This allows the seat and seat post to turn within the tripod. The seatpost will not loosen when assembled this way, and the seat will not wobble.

No way to stabilize this seat - revised
Update - The seller was so kind to send me a new throne which is much better than the first one. Nevertheless, it still has a tendency for the height adjustment screw to loosen up under use, just not anywhere near as fast as the first one did. In the end, I have to say it's worth the cost.Original review - I've been fussing with this throne for months and I can't get it to stop getting wobbly in short order after I tighten everything. Otherwise it looks nice and the seat itself feels decent in spit of the fact that the stand always feels like it's falling apart. I would advise anyone not to buy it.

Time will tell but so far is great for my needs.
This is not your typical drummer needing a new throne situation. I don't have an acoustic kit or even an E-kit (yet ???)_but do have the AeroBand PocketDrum 2 Plus (air drums) and liking them very well. You might not think one would need a throne or stool when playing the air drums. What I've found is it's not very convenient or comfortable playing these in a regular chair especially any chairs with arms. Even at the office over lunch, the chairs have arms. Us old guys could probably use a little back aid or back rest / support but looking at those thrones you have to spend at least twice this much probably more.Just received it a couple of days ago, been able to use it once so far. I'll have a much better idea after a few days use. I'm right at 201lbs and it's working fine for me. My wife likes the brown color better than the black. After some time on it I might make additional comments.

UPDATE!!! PLEASE READ!!!
UPDATE: DO NOT BUY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Well I was gigging with this throne on my Roland E-kit and the screw post broke in half! Unacceptable! I weigh 170lbs and was on an E-kit. Not playing hard at all. Lucky I had my Roc-N-Soc nitro with me as a back up just in case. NO MORE off brand equipment for me. I will stick to well know brand names.First your throne is the most important piece of equipment that a drummer owns. Please don't cheap out on buying oneI don't care if you're a beginner and know nothing about drums. Always have a good sturdy comfortable throne! I don't care how great of a player you are, how great your kit is. If you have butt and back pain, you're not going to be playing at your best. I been playing drums since I was 11 years old. I am now 53. Played thru all of school and college. Been in a lot of bands and also am a session drummer. Only reason I considered this was on a recommendation from a friend. I have owned to many thrones to be honest. DW, Gilbralter, Pearl, Roc-N-Soc. The Roc-N-Soc Nitro is by far the best throne. At a cost over $200, it's worth every penny. I bought this for my Roland TD-50 kit. E-kits are a while different beast then aocustic. I was very surprised by the build quality and how comfortable it is. Not sure about the other guys review in how he wants to add lock washers and not having instructions to put it together. Basically takes 2 minutes. Open the base, screw in the post, attach saddle. Get it behind your kit. Dail it in and tweak it. Once you're happy, tighten all the key screws. Do not use a wrench or add washers. They're not gonna help and the throne doesn't need help. Once you tighten it, the throne doesn't lossen up. Over tighting can damage the screw post and key screws. I was pretty impressed by it so I decided to take it with me to some gigs. Put it thru some paces. I have gigged with the throne 4 times. 3 on my aocustic kit and once on my Roland E-Kit. Happy to say it worked very well. No pain in my butt or back after playing 2 hours straight before a break. Then another 2 hours. The real test was standing up. That's when you really feel it with a subpar throne. I felt great. No pain and the throne stayed put, felt very stable throughout the night. Only thing I missed on the aocustic kit was the Lil bounce I get from my Roc-N-Soc. I didn't buy to replace any of my thrones. I bought it for my E-Kit. I hit hard and go thru pedals, cymbals and always breaking sticks. E-kits you're not hitting no where as hard. It's more about finesse. When I used it at a wedding gig with my Roland's, it again preformed excellent. I have enough time on it to where I have it broken in. I'm still amazed by the comfort and build quality at this price point. It passed the hard hitting aocustic test and is a great fit for my Roland's. Would actually work excellent for either. But I love my Roc-N-Soc. I own 2 nitros. Again I wasn't happy with the bounce from the nitro on my E-Kit. I almost bought a DW until a friend recommended this. Glad he did. I saved some money without compromising comfort and quality. One pointer if you're new to drums. Don't tighten the saddle keys to where the saddle won't turn. I have mine setup to where the saddle moves with me. Makes for better passes in the toms and getting up from behind the kit. Spin a lil to the left and I walk out. Then it's there for me when I go to play. Just sit and spin back inwards to the kit.PROS: Very comfortable and stable while playing. No pain in the butt or back. The cut of the saddle is deep enough to where my upper thighs aren't free resting on it and interfering with my pedals. But not so deep where it's not supporting them. Well designed. Plush top is a plus. Very well built. Rubber on the legs are over sized and keeps the throne put. Easy to adjust on the fly. Great value.CONS: Haven't really found any. One thing I like is a four leg throne. But at this price point it's not an issue. Just a personal preference.

Sturdy yes. Comfy? meh. Stable? No.
Sadly, this is the second one I am returning. I decided to give them another try since their reviews were good, and the price great. If you look through my reviews, I did a review on the same model, but the tan color.SAME PROBLEM.No matter how much I tighten everything, within a few minutes of playing it starts teetering side to side, making noise too! Not good for recording! The knurled knob does not stay tight, then it starts getting unstable at the base. Then sometimes the points right at the top where the seat attaches, if you want it loose enough to swivel, it loosens up and starts to wobble. You can tighten the hell out of it where it wont swivel, but it STILL loosens up. Disclaimer: I AM a big guy. But not that big. I weight 215. Way below the weight limit. When I first put together, I sat down on it, and thought I did something wrong because I sank several inches fast! You've been warned! LOLThis was just all the air leaving the foam in the seat. Which I wish there was a way to keep some, because this thing is NOT comfortable at all! It is extremely firm. I have a Roc n Soc on another kit, as well as a Mapex "motorcycle" throne. It's not fair to compare this to thrones that are $300, but the difference in the sat comfort is ridiculous. I used to have a fairly basic Tama round throne that wasn't expensive and that has way more cushion, while maintaining support. These are just very badly designed I think. Spend a little more and get something decent. Your ass depends on it! 🤣

Not bad
It does what it says and seems like it will last but I’m not a big dude. Big dudes should try elsewhere.

A little wobbly
Make sure to screw in the bottom of the post and also the seat really well or it’ll wobble unnecessarily.
