Too difficult to do. The prying tools were cheap and broke. It took about 45 frustrating minutes to get the broken screen off device. We decided it would be best to take it to a professional. Guy is charging us $40 to replace using the new screen we purchased, but he would offer no guarantees because it isn't his screen and he did not remove the old screen. He also said it shouldn't be a problem. We get it back tomorrow. All in all, next time I would just take it to screen repair shop and let them do their job. In the past my husband has changed a broken phone screen and a broken laptop screen, so we had some experience going into it.

Lasted 24 hours....then screen went black. Opened up to see if connections were bad...they were fine. Old, shattered display works when plugged back in. Its a PITA to take apart an ipod, much less do it twice. DO NOT BUY!!

Product was advertised to match my Ipod but when it arrived it did not match

I don’t even want to give this a star. My daughter cracked her brand new generation 7 iPod screen. Her iPod was in perfect working condition. After replacing her cracked screen with this one her iPod will not even turn on and when I tried to resolve with amazon they are not willing to do anything about her broke iPod. Just did they willRefund me the cost of the screen replacement kit and to contact the seller. Do not buy this! My poor daughter is now without an iPod because I bought this product and I cannot afford to replace it.

I used a YouTube video to guide me through the steps and was able to flawlessly replace the screen. My grandson was so happy. I applied the screen protector and will never have a cracked screen again.
