Fit perfectly. Not having bushings on the struts was a pain. 21 year old shocks are tough but expected. Ride is incredible now.

If you need the cushions that go on either side of the spring hat, you'll need to buy them seperate. I called Bilstein upon opening this kit and they weren't included, only to be told those are a Toyota part and unavailable from them. Cost me an extra week, otherwise 5 stars.

So my 2003 Tacoma was supposed to come with these shocks but, the ones I removed are definitely not the same as what I replaced them with. I included a picture. The stock shocks are much skinnier. I was surprised that these stock shocks still had dampening ability considering the shape they were in. Bilstein makes a good product, I have used them on a couple vehicles. Much rather spend the money than have to do it again, and the majority of bargain brand shocks don't hold up. I guess one of the reasons I'm writing this review is so people can see that the stock bilstein shocks are not what you will be receiving. These will be an upgrade, and I'm personally glad that I didn't buy the 5100's.

I installed these myself on my 1998 Tacoma prerunner. Super easy to install the rears, didn’t even jack the truck up. Now the fronts were more a bit more difficult. Lil tip - disconnect the sway bar end links and they’ll go in and out easier. Definitely needed a spring compressor of course... I’ve only had them on for about a 1000 miles but I can say they ride softer than I thought. It’s actually nice, I use this particular vehicle 100% on road commuting and such. It’s a pleasant ride and cornering has greatly improved over the blown out crap that was on the truck when I bought it. Definitely recommended.

'Bilstein Germany' was printed all over the box. The shock body label says 'Assembled in Mexico'. Honestly, this product is overpriced for what it is. If I could do it again, I'd purchase a nice set of gas-charged KYBs (made in Japan) and pocket the extra $100.

While riding in my 2000 Tacoma, I noticed I hated driving it. It would lean in turns, my girlfriend was scared, and it just wasn't fun to be in. It made our ride life boring and dull. Great purchase my 99 tacoma use to drive all over the road bouncing and just un stable this were not only a perfect fit but much beefier the truck rides like new and very stable would absolutely recommend this any day

These shocks offer superior drivability to my 2001 Tacoma 4x4 over stock shocks. Amazing ride, now.
