The Capparis Kitchen Stove Counter Gap Cover seals the gap between the stove and the countertop and prevents food crumbs and spills from falling into the hard-to-reach and hard-to-clean gap. Made of 100% food grade silicone, the 2 set gap cover sits perfectly on both sides of the stove and covers the gap to the countertop even if the surfaces are not even. The gap cover measures 21"L x 2¼"W x 0.4"H and can be cut to size for odd size counters or stoves. The gap cover silicone material is dishwasher safe and heat resistant (up to 430°F/220°C) and does not melt or warp. The gap cover has non-slippery tacky surface on the back which adheres and conforms to all surfaces even if they are not even. The cap cover can be cleaned easily by a damp cloth or simply thrown into dishwasher. Unlike similar products in the market which have tacky top surfaces that collect dust and food crumbs, Capparis Kitchen Gap Cover has non-sticky top surface that does not collect dust or food crumbs and can be easily wiped clean.

Be careful as they will catch on fire.
The purpose of these is to prevent food from falling down into the space between the stove and counter. Great idea, except for the fact they catch on fire. Major flaw in the product.

Started on fire after first use.
It’s hard to write a review for a product that started on fire on the first use. Yes, STARTED ON FIRE. Apparently a product designed to go up to the stove shouldn’t be placed next to the stove. :/

Clean Range and Counter
They certainly do the job I got them for. I was concerned that they wouldn't be the correct length, but they're more than long enough. I will cut them to fit. Held off until I was certain of my satisfaction. The finish is matte but looks nice and wipes clean easily. The material they're made of settles into the space between counter and range easily and I don't have any trouble with them shifting positions. I'm happy with this purchase and recommend them to anyone.

It fills the gap but needed to be trimmed.
I built my own cabinets and purposely didn’t leave much of a gap on either side of the stove because I never wanted to fish anything out that happened to fall down through that opening. It did stop all the hardware from slipping through but liquids still made it down there and the stove had to be pulled out to clean off the cabinet sides. This cover solved that problem but since my gap was about as wide as the piece that should fit into it I had a lot of the cover on my countertop and really didn’t like the look of it so I trimmed it down and now it looks much better. It’s not a thing of beauty and even though the description states it comes in “three stylish colors” but the choices were black, white and clear so I went with the black and it really stands out on a brown countertop but the stove has black trim so I guess it was the best choice. It is not easy to cut it lengthwise and have a straight cut so I clamped it down on a workbench with a metal straightedge on it to be able to get a nice clean cut with a utility knife with a new blade. I would not think using scissors would have given me such a clean cut… but who knows. I would have preferred it went all the way to the backsplash but paying 5-bucks more to get four more inches in length just wasn’t worth it. If the gap you’re filling is small like mine then you’ll have about an inch of this on your countertops on both sides but for 10-bucks I can’t complain.

They work great.
Bought these to replace metal alternatives I was using previously, and I have no idea what took me so long to purchase these. I first became aware that these silicone covers existed when I stumbled across them in a brick-and-mortar that offers rollback prices. This store was selling them for $10 each, and I almost purchased 2 of them until I decided to see if Amazon sold something similar. To my surprise, they did, and as a set for less than the price of two from the smiley store. They work great. The stove is not perfectly level with the two counters on either side of it. In fact, on counter-top is set just slight higher than the other, which cause the previous guards to rock on one side more than the other. Since these are more malleable, they quickly bent and conformed to the different heights. They also done slip or slide light the previous guards; big bonus consider that I would sometimes but the old ones while moving things on/off the stove. And since these things are made out of silicone, any mess I may create can easily be wiped clean.I would have no problem recommending these to anyone else.

Fits the bill and gap
Purchased the Capparis Kitchen Silicone Stove Counter Gap Cover to protect spills in the gap between the oven and the counter. Researched other silicone covers for about the same price but was sold on the Capparis based on reviews and fit. It's 21" which is the right length from the back of my oven to the front of my counter. When purchasing one of these, make sure that it's long enough to cover the back of the oven to the counter. If the gap cover is longer, you can always cut, it, but if it's shorter, then you'll have to buy another set.My oven actually sits a little higher than my counter even after adjusting the oven's feet. I still ordered the gap covers to see if it could still fill the gap (pun intended). Obviously, if my oven was flush with my counter then the gap covers would sit as it was designed to, but since it doesn't I had to improvise. I know that no other gap cover would make a difference since they're all pretty much designed the same. Fortunately, the silicone is nice and sticky so it adheres to the oven and my counter while still covering the gap (see pictures). I was still able to tuck in the middle piece of the gap cover between the over and counter, but the flap that should sit on the top of the oven is sitting more on the side of the oven (see pictures). Only issue here would be build up of crumbs that would sit on top of the flap, but at least they won't fall between the gap.I'm still giving this product 5 stars as it was designed to do what it is supposed to if your oven sits flush with your counter, but if it doesn't the gap cover can still prevent crumbs from falling through the gap if you install it as I did. So don't fret, and just improvise and for $10, it's not going to break the bank. The quality of the silicone is really good too as I stated previously, really stick underside and won't slip and matte finish on top that can easily be wiped down and cleaned.Overall, a good product that will keep your kitchen clean from dirt and crumbs falling between your oven and counter or other household appliances.

Great product, don't budge!
If you're looking for good gap covers that don't move, these are the ones! Once placed, they don't move unless you move them yourself. Love them
