Spigen Ultra Hybrid [2nd Generation] Designed for iPhone 8 Plus Case (2017) / Designed for iPhone 7 Plus Case (2016) - Black

Update:I’ve had this specific case on my phone for about two years now. It’s my second phone to use a Spigen case on. My husband also uses this case on his phone and has for about two years now we’ll. It was a fabulous case. It protected my and my husband’s phones from many many typical day to day drops. It protected our phones from three young children. I have been very satisfied with the case.Last week my phone took a much harder than normal drop- it fell off the hood of our car while we were driving down the street. (Whoops). While the phone did break, the case made the damage minimal for what it was, and I was able to continue using my phone for a whole week afterwards while waiting for our insurance replacement. Not to mention, the case itself didn’t break. Our neighbors who found my phone couldn’t believe it was still functional. I’ve attached images of the case/damage.In summary, this case is a a huge bargain. When it failed to protect my phone, I wouldn’t have expected any case to be able to protect my phone. I have ordered another Spigen case for my new phone.Note: We do pair the case with tempered glass over the screen.********Perfect. Tight fit, very secure. The black edge looks great without showing dirt.

The box that it comes in is nice. Open it up and it comes in a plastic bag. The tricky part is that there is protective film with print written on it on the back outside and on the inside. You just need to grab a corner and peel it down. I was concerned about scratching the case trying to get it off because it was a little difficult to get a corner up but once I did it came off no problem. I highly suggest that you clean your phone the back of your phone as well as the inside and outside of the case as it will show fingerprints very very easily. Once that it’s on it feels nice and snug not too big not too thin. The outside is not a true rubbery grippy feel and it’s not plasticky feel it somewhere in between I would say more so on the rubbery side. It also seems to be stiff compared to other of her cases which is good seems like you will get a lot more protection. On the backside there are raised edges on the corner ever so slightly. It is for when you set your phone down that the back of the case does not come in to group direct contact with the surface and causing more scratches. Overall it feels like it’s gonna be a good case and I like it. It allows you to see the color of your phone as well as the Apple logo. I’ve ordered a few more cases just so I can have a little bit of option. But right out of the gate I think I’m gonna like this case a lot. If you’re worried or concerned about the case I would say go ahead and purchase it because it feels as if it is a good quality good build and looks very nice on your phone. I bought the case for the iPhone 8+. Cheers.

It’s an amazing case if you want to protect the side bumpers while also being able to show off the back of the phone with no worries about scratch’s. The case has a a small lip on the front so that when you lay it screen down the screen wont make contact with the surface. I it has slightly larger lips on the corners of the back of the case to protect the clear plastic back of the case when it’s laying down. The buttons are clicky and very responsive. The only downside to this case is that since it’s a clear back it leaves fingerprints and smudges al over the back but nothing that a quick wipe can do! But the slightly larger issue is that it’s easier to scratch than the glass back is... with slight pressure you can scratch the back of the case with your nail. Then again the case is supposed to protect your phone not your case. The amazing low price that this case is at sells the case tbh. At the low price you won’t find a better slim case that will protect your phone and also have it function well and look good. Just make sure that you grab some glass clearner or anything like that and a microfiber cloth to clean the inside of the case from any dirt because I noticed that if you don’t use this then you’ll just move the dust around the case. Just make sure to clean the case and the phone well to install it 😁

I bought this case a while ago before I ever even had my iPhone 8Plus in my hands. It’s a nice, clean case when you first unpackage it (and for one of the people who reviewed this case) the “remove protective film” is removable, hence the statement written on the film. Not sure if that was meant to be “funny” or just plain dumb but anyway... the case does have holes in the bottom corners but I have a tendency to take off my phone case every once in a while and clean it anyhow so it doesn’t bother me much because ALL cases get dirt caught between the phone and the case somewhere after long periods of time.For those that just leave their case on for eons and presume that the case isn’t still going to get dirt caught in the corners, cracks and the outside then I don’t know what to tell you. I like a clean phone screen/phone and phone case so the biggest reasons why this case receives a 4 star instead of 5 is because this case holds finger grease, sweat and prints as well as dust and dirt particles and I find myself cleaning not just my phone but the phone CASE religiously as a result of that.The case also has an air bubble issue, but I realize that it has to be put on a certain way so that the air bubble doesn’t appear. So it’s an easy fix. Push the top corners in first and then the bottom corners in last so that the air that is caught underneath is forced back out of the case. This may take a couple tries but it works for me!Overall, this case has its drawbacks but for the better part it’s a good case. I haven’t yet dropped my 8P with this case and hope not to simply because I hate dropping my phone and hate having any kind of damage to it.
