Junk throttle control
I have now gone through two of these throttle controls and they are absolute garbage. The first one i had completly disassembled on me. I returned it and go a replacement. Now the replacement trim botton has failed and is falling out of the arm.Stay away from this product

Junk
My first control box came with the shipping box all smashed and the inside of the control box was shattered. I received a replacement quickly but then found I needed different style cables. An additional $75 and more waiting. Now I’ve had it on the boat for 2 months and the safety kill switch stopped working. Couldn’t get the motor to start till I unplugged the kill switch. Now a couple weeks later the shifting started messing up. With the shift handle in the neutral position detention even the slightest bump and it will shift either into fwd or reverse. This is very unsafe

Stop switch is incorrect
First one would bind in gear not letting you shift other direction or into neutral, good thing I was checking everything before mounting on panel or worse yet at the lake. The trim switch worked intermittently on the replacement so I used the one from the original one. What's left well the the BOAT STOP SWITCH according to the manual they included (Mercury) not theirs, the switch is wired through the purple wire that supplies power to the motor in the run position this switch is open good luck getting it to start; no big deal I'll use the one from the first control wrong wired the same. So now I'll buy a Quicksilver OEM Part # 87-13398 2 SWITCH for 65.16 just went up

The handle comes loose on a regular basis I have to tighten it constantly to be safe I think I'll have to buy a different type

Great for the price!
Great value for the money. It was an almost exact replica of my Mercury Classic 3000. I only had to open up the original holes like half an inch on the side panel. I did however have to buy new Gen 2 throttle cables. For the price of the cables $55 each, its worth the peace of mind not having to take off the side mount panel off once again. Also, since I just bought this boat I had no idea when they were changed last. Now I know everything is brand new. I gave it 4 stars because the trim switch I have to move it up and down and then back up for it to work. I will probably have to change it out. Will definitely buy again if I had too. Hope this helps.

Extremely bad . Dont buy
Poor quality . The trim button came broken . I had to use the one from the old control. Also it doesn’t have the slots for the black cylinder that holds the cables . Crappy item over all

Plastic parts
Plastic trim and up down broke off the very first time we used it

Not a good replacement for mercury 3000 Classic controls
This control box is a cheap copy of Mercury Classic 3000 controls. Controls would probably be Ok but it will not accept mercury control cables- not even close.

I would love to make a video for this..but l wont..for personal reasons.
To begin with, its supposed to be a replacement for Mercury concealed remote .Everything is perfect except the cables dont fit into it..l am not even upset about that, cause it is what it is but they could be kind enough to tell the buyer they have to replace cables too..an better yet, sell them along with the controls...where do l find them?. Absolutely no reference to them....now lm in a kulumdrum !!
