Big enough for two cats.
I read another person's review of this cat shelter that stated it was too small for two cats. I disagree. If you have Maine Coon cats or overweight cats, then they might not fit, but the two bonded feral cats I bought this for fit just fine with room to spare. They took to it right away, even though it hasn't been that cold here at night yet. I think it's more of a feeling of safety for them. I placed the shelter up off the ground about 8 inches on a wire shelf with dry leaves packed underneath, then sewed a shoelace to each corner and tied it to the shelf so it won't blow away. It's under the roof of my carport so I'm hoping it will keep them safe, warm and dry. BTW, I live in south Texas where it rarely snows. I'm very pleased with this product.

Excellent value / Excellent product
I purchased this for a feral cat living on our property in one of our buildings. I was very impressed with the quality and the soft bed that came inside it. We have two indoor cats and the Feral cat. Both of my indoor cats went into this bed immediately, and we know the feral cat did as well since we have security cameras and saw on camera that he is using it . I highly recommend for indoor or outdoor cats. It was larger than expected and looks just like the product advertises.

It's shape is a collapsed triangle.
It's well made thick material. Cozy soft bedding inside. But it can't be removed for cleaning. So if it gets soiled what do we do? Spot clean. . Outdoor cats can be stinky. It kinda looks like a mashed slanted roof. I havnt tried shaping it like that tunnel dome pictured in the ad. Overall it's roomy and Cozy. My cat got in it a few times. But not alot. I'm buying another bigger one for 2 order cats and putting a heater inside. I'd give it 5 stars but it collapses and has no tie downs if windy.

Mama cat approved
This feral cat lives on my balcony for the past 13 years. We went through a few outdoor cat shelters and I got her a very cute cat house this summer that she absolutely refuses to us. Feral cat, am I right? Anyway, it’s getting cold in NJ and this cat is old so this is the way we compromise. I bought her this one. I removed the back panel from her outdoor house and I put this one inside. This way is staying dry. She’s been sleeping in it every night. I wouldn’t us this on it’s on in NJ. It might be waterproof if it’s drizzling or some light rain but definitely not heavy rain. Also this will not be warm by itself. I have a few microwaveable discs I heat up for her every evening that I put inside under a blanket. If you use straws to keep your feral cat warm I wouldn’t recommend this shelter. But overall 10/10, with some heating disks or pads and a tarp or some sort of roof. The contraption you see in the pictures is: a tarp and a stick; the tarp comes over but it’s hold by the stick so it’s practically a little extra roofing. There’s also a recycling bag because we had a bad storm and I was afraid the rain might get in. But the tarp and the bag kept the rain out.

It’s ok, I guess.
It’s cozy, it’ll keep a cat warm and dry, but only in an enclosed area like a garage or enclosed porch. My chief complaint is that there’s no way to anchor it down and the slightest gust will send it toppling, which no cat will trust. Everything else is very overpriced or under-designed, and I think the only real practical solution is to build your own.

Love it
The outdoor feral cats love it fir warmth in the cold I put it in my front porch swing for them so it’s off the ground. The only bad thing is when it’s windy I have to add a bulky sweater to the bottom so it doesn’t fly off and I’m going a house down to retrieve it. Lol

Not as sturdy as it looks
Update: only 1 cat went inside this shelter for 1 or 2 nights this past winter. It has been in my shed now for months and it still stinks like rubber. If I could get rid of the terrible smell I would try a little harder to make this usable outdoors but no cat will feel "safe" in this flimsy, unstructured cat house and it stinks too bad to have indoors. ......... This little pet shelter is not as stiff or sturdy as it looks in the picture. CONS: 1) It has absolutely no internal framing. It comes folded and rolled up so the folds and creases stay even once its open and it doesnt quite stay opened up on its own. I took wires out of an old pop up hamper, cut a slit and ran them into the front and back to give it some structure. That worked ok but I would not say this is stray cat friendly unless you have a protected porch or patio to put it on. Anything could just jump on top and smush it. Its also very light-weight and could blow away with the wind. If my neighborhood stray cat likes it I'll probably screw it into some plywood to keep it from rolling around. 2) It stinks SO BAD. It smells like its off- gassing rubber products. It gave me a headache after 30 minutes of working to alter it. I ran it thru the clothes washer 2X with unscented soap and vinegar and 2X thru a full dryer cycle and that helped but smell still wasnt totally gone. I'll update after its been on my porch a while. I can see why a pet with sensitive nose would not want to go near it.PROS: 1) for the price its decent size and material. There is very little padding. I had my own bed I wanted to use in it which helps it stay more open. 2) the material does seem like it will be rain-proof and thats what I need on my porch. 3) its totally washable & dryable.FYI. The pic shows the door/opening on the left. It's not, its on the right when looking atthe front.

Large hidey but wouldn't stand up
The hidey is large and waterproof. But it comes compressed flat and when it was opened and decompressed it wouldn't stand up no matter what we tried. Also the padded mat inside isn't removable so you can't wash it easily.

Bad quality
It doesn’t hold its shape it’s was all squashed and mangled upon opening of the product. Even when I tried to shape it, it would still look mangled.it doesn’t sit or look like what’s been shown in the picture. The picture shown is deceiving.
