The one slight negative is that it is not first edition. They’ve used an old first edition box in the image, but you will not be getting a first edition. I did not expect to get a first edition at under MSRP since the box has been out for quite a while now.Everything else is good news. The card quality is great, the packaging of the box is great, and the game (Universus) has always been an excellent, complex, crunchy TCG. DO NOT BUY THIS if you have not watched a tutorial on how to play the game and think you will like it. It is exceptionally complex, more so than Magic (MUCH more so than Pokemon, which I think is where a lot of parent purchases will come from). I would put its complexity at something similar to the old Star Trek and Star Wars CCGs from Decipher from 20 years ago.The final positive note is that unlike many starter products, you actually get a real bound manual with this one! You do also get the folding player mats like almost every other starter product, but normally the instructions are on the reverse of the mat (or sometimes no instructions are included at all, making you look at their product pages to learn how to play; looking at you Grand Archive!), making it difficult to use the mat and still learn the game. Having a separate bound manual is amazing, and the quality of the manual, the mats, and the cards, is really high.

This box is a bit expensive, but most of the MHA cards are pricey and I was impressed by the quality of the decks inside. If you want the Midoriya and Bakugo character decks from Series 1, then this is definitely worth buying. The extra material isn’t quite as impressive; the two player mats are pretty standard for sets like this, the artwork on the backs of mats is nice to look at but printed on low quality paper that won’t last long, and the instruction booklet doesn’t explain the game very well. Overall, I’m happy I bought this and glad to add the two decks to my collection.

This was a very fun, fast and addicting game. Buying more sets in the future, this set is a fantastic place to start.

This product is amazing and for collectors that don’t open products, it comes in great condition

My daughter loves to play Pokemon TCG and other similar card games. She also loves MHA so we ordered this to give it a go. We expected this to be more in line with Pokemon style game play, but this seems to be a lot more involved. We are struggling to learn to play it so hopefully we can find some good videos online to help.

Came super fast and it's perfectly made for beginners, the decks are made to play against each other and have solid interactions and was easy to learn with the instructions in the book plus some help from youtube

My grandson is a collector and he enjoyed these.
