I used this for a underground water storage tank fitting at the wall of the tank. Seems to seal properly and easy to screw the outside ring back onto it, albeit reverse thread.

I bought these to use in a 50 gallon plastic barrel for rain. They work well and aren't leaking so far and they have been in use for over a month.

Perfect for making rain collection barrels !

For the price they can't be better. What I paid for several I would have paid for one at local store, and have. I would have preferred the black ones but got several of these in 1/2" and I am happy.

Easy to install

I used caulking in addition to the provided washer for my rain barrel project. All components have a solid feel.

Used for an overflow connection on a rain barrel. Has a threaded 1-1/2" NPT female connection that is not tapered.
