It arrived a little late but overall good

I gave my Mom this as a Mother’s Day gift. She loves and gave the quality rave reviews.

The packaging was a very nice metal box as shown in the picture. From there I personally was disappointed. The rugelach were soft, delicious and had great flavor. Unfortunately, I received two flavors of rugelach in two bags of four. So I did get eight pieces, but only two flavors. What I had were really good; box those things up and sell them by the dozen. The chocolate crumb cake was dry, with a very firm almost powdery top layer and a heavy cinnamon flavor I personally didn't expect. And four cookies. Not terrible. Not tasty. Just...there. Like a cookie you grab when you run in for coffee because you had to stop at the gas station in the morning. It's not the most desirable coffee and the cookie is just sitting there prepackaged in a basket. It's possible it was just my order, the foundation is there for a memorable experience. Setting aside the price of $44.90 that gives you sixteen pieces and an average cost of $3.21 per piece, however you want to adjust the math, I personally had different expectations. My final thought: If the quality is just substandard and my package reflected the norm, if I give this as a gift would the recipient ever tell me they experienced the same disappointment? It would make a great scam to package an underwhelming product as a gift so the purchaser/gifter doesn't know and review accordingly.

Great Birthday gift!

Very tasty and ok as gift

I had ordered the gift basket as a thank you gift so I did not personally see itor taste any of the cookies.However, my friend, who is a gourmet cook and baker said these are among thebest cookies she and her husband have ever had. She said the packaging wasbeautiful and she was very impressed.I'm also impressed with the speed in which the gift got to my friends.I will definitely order again.Joan B

Paying $50 for just a few baked goods is too much in my opinion. Shame on me for not looking at the detailed description before clicking the purchase button.

I gave it to my mom for Mother's Day gift and she loved it it was way better than sending her flowers.
