appears the same as original
This was installed on a 2004 Toyota Sienna. After 20 years and around 200k miles, I found that the clutch coil was open, but the compressor still turned smoothly, and was probably still good. I was short on time and already had the replacement compressor, so I replaced the whole thing. It had plenty of oil, installed easily, and worked well. For those dealing with stubborn bolts, especially in winter salt areas, I patiently turned one of the bolts back and forth, a few degrees at a time, tightening, loosening, until it finally came free. If I just tried loosening it, using more strength, I think it would have broke, dramatically increasing the time and frustration on this job. The compressor removed was labeled Denso (see pictures), and I think it was the original, so it was nice to put on another Denso. The one I received was made in Japan.

2004 Toyota Sienna AC works !
Got a shop to install it. Works great still after over a year. Got the drier kit too. (My old original compressor started making loud noise when turning on and running, sounded like it was going to explode, so I refrained from using it till I got this new OEM one installed.) Great price for Dealer model.

Amazing!
Amazing fit and finish, exactly what I had in my van, direct replacement. Ice cold now going strong! Love that it’s prefilled with oil as well. Life saver for sure!

Perfect Fit - 2005 Sienna
An excellent value and perfect fit, considering it's OEM. There are several videos on YouTube showing you how to replace the compressor, so follow them. Some reviews note that the compressor comes pre-filled with too much oil, and it's both true and false. The compressor is supposed to be filled with 4.5 oz of ND-8 (PAG 46) oil according to the factory service manual, and this comes pre-filled with about 7 to 7.5 oz. However, you're supposed to replace the condenser/drier at the same time you replace the compressor and that needs about 1.5 oz of oil. You have to take off the bumper and front support brackets to even get to the drier, so at that point you should have just spent the extra $50 to get a Denso condenser/drier, instead of just replacing the drier only - especially if you're compressor seized. Bottom line is I drained about 1 oz of oil. For those of you who simply replaced the compressor only and recharged the system, you'll get away with it for a little while but you'll have to repair it again unfortunately.

One of the easier auto repair jobs that I have ever done - air conditioning turns out to be easy.
Excellent and fit 2004 Toyota Sienna. Four stars because the original one failed at the clutch at 205,000 miles, and at about 100,000 miles the AC stopped cooling and I found that the nut holding the clutch pulley, and the pulley itself, had fallen off on their own. (Murphy's law does not always apply, the pulley landed on the truck (frame) holding the engine underneath the compressor and was rolling fore~aft for 20 miles without falling to the road, miraculously, as it is quite open down there.)

Great original product
It cools my 2004 Sienna really well, replacement is same brand on my 2004 Sienna AC. Solid product at very good price.

OEM for 2005 Sienna....
So far so good, and at a fraction of the cost of my local ARS. Read the instructions, my compressor came pre-filled with oil. This is the 3rd compressor for my 2005 Sienna, currently I have 190K miles on the van. Very happy to be back to OEM, which has performed flawlessly and quietly like when I bought the van new. Recently we have been in 95-100 degree weather range and high humidity. The 2nd compressor I had installed was non-OEM and I was disappointed when I found my local repair shop had put in a louder and noticeably inferior brand. They also added too much oil (at their own admission after I returned it non-working) and did not have the rear A/C running when charging the system. This in turn caused the compressor to go into a high pressure state rather quickly when the rear A/C was turned on. The clutch on that one gave out so it was a good excuse for me to get the OEM back on, especially at only $230!!!
