Great consistency and performance
Very consistent product. I am able to store extra in freezer with minimal loss in activation after 6 months. Mainly use for breads and never been disappointed.

Works Well
This yeast works well in my bread machine. The package has a pack date and a use by date, which for this last purchase was about 2 &1/2 years out from when I received it. You get a pound of yeast for about 1/2 of the price of the four ounce jars in the supermarket. I would up discarding about 5 ounces of my last order which no longer proofed but it was over 3 years old. This is my go too yeast.

Expiration Date
I've been using this yeast for years now. It has the best flavor and it cuts rising time. The Package arrived vacuum sealed as it should. I think the yeast from this company usually has a two year shelf date from production. The expiration date on my package is 1/26, so this product has been on the shelf for close to a year already. Shouldn't be a problem as long as kept correctly, but a heads up if you're looking for a fresher product. I keep it in the freezer, and it last forever. Well beyond the expiration date, I'm able to use the entire package.

Works Well Every Time
I started baking bread slowly from the book Artisan Bread in 5 minutes a day. There was no need for a big mixer or special equipment. A big bowl, a Danish Wisk, Flour and Yeast. Their recommendation in their book was SAF Instant Yeast. Each recipe I tried was a total success. Many of the failures that other wrote about were due to no rise. I ordered the yeast, checked the date on the package, poured it into an air tight container, marked the expiration date on the container and placed it in my freezer. The Yeast works every time. I have not had 1 failure and I started baking in 2014. I attached a picture of my everyday bread. I make this every week and every week it looks just like the picture. I did get a mixer and have tried all sorts of bread, sweet bread, milk bread, wheat bread, rye bread, brioche, dinner rolls, burger buns, subway buns, French bread and never a failure. Some are not as pretty as others but the rise is always perfect. The price is reasonable and if you take care of it (air tight in the freezer) you will be able to used it up before it quits working!

Great rise !
I’ve been baking freshe ground wheat berry bread for 3 months. This is the best rise I’ve gotten yet and it the first batch with my new yeast from Amazon. I highly recommend this brand!!

Wow
Read online that SAF yeast is superior to other yeast products. I was skeptical. Yeast is yeast Saccharomyces cervesiae. But I am not a baker, so I read a little more. Lesaffre has been selling yeast since the days of Pasteur…. hmmm. And I do know that French bread is incomparable. Their instant yeast product is formulated in microscopic granules so it absorbs water faster, hence “instant” yeast. Okay. let’s try it.I had used a US brand instant yeast in my bread machine and was decidedly unimpressed. In fact I put the breadmaker away, thinking it just did not work. Then someone served me some outstanding bread made in a break machine. So I figured there must have been something I was doing wrong.First I made a “French bread” using SAF red label yeast. It’s a good thing I made a 1.5 lb loaf, because it rose so much it kissed the window of the lid! What a difference! It has completely changed my attitude about using a bread machine. Still not as good as a boulanger in St. Germain des Pres, but nothing is. Considering I can make bread this good at home is a game changer.
