K&N Cold Air Intake System: High-Flow Air-Filter, Increase Performance & Horsepower: Compatible with 2001-2005 LEXUS IS300, 57-9018

I got this intake when it was on sale for just under $300. Felt like it was a good price and I love the fact that it’s California Smog Compliant (don’t have to swap it back to factory for smog test) Installation was relatively straight forward as long as you have the right tools.Once Installed*It sounds great! Makes my stock IS300 sound more aggressive. I like that! Not sure I feel much of a boost in performance (maybe a lil bit), but I wasn’t expecting much tbh. Overall I’m pleased and enjoy the growl I get when I hit the gas!

A little background. I own an Lexus IS300 and bought an aftermarke intake off of ebay for $50. Well it wasn't CARB exempt and I moved to California. I went to get my car smogged and it passed. UNITL...the Mech looked under the hood and didn't see a "sticker". So I went on Amazon and bought this. It was one of the only CARB exempt and cheapest of any of the sites i checked. So it arrived in the mail 2 days after i ordered it. After about 1-1 1/2 hrs of messing around in my garage it was installed. The instructions were easy enough that an electronics geek such as myself could install it. The hold up was that I dropped a bolt and had trouble finding it. To later realize that I didn't even need it.Now for the intake.It sounds mean when you step on the pedal. I love the fact that you never need to replace the filter. All you got to do is buy a $15 kit and clean it. It also comes with a paper that says if anyone tells you that you have to replace it, tell them to call this number. Now for performance. When I want to get in front of someone or need that little bit of extra it is there. Now don't this confused. It isn't a turbo or supercharger so it won't be that much. But it is better then stock. The only thing I would like to see is more options. Like different colors or chrome. But that's just my preference.

I have a 2001 lexus is300 and my factory mass air flow sensor does not fit into the tubing !!! massive waste of time and money

Fairly easy to install, does have a deep sound when accelerating but nothing to dramatic. Only downside I had for mine was that for some reason the MAF sensor didn’t align right where it needed to be placed. There’s two small screws and I was only able to screw one in, i don’t know if this is a mistake from the manufacture. I tried contacting k&n themselves but no one answers. Only reason why I’m giving this a 3 stars. I had to basically zip tie it in order for it to stay in place not what I wanted but had no choice without any air coming out. I have a 2003 Lexus is300 if anyone is wondering.

I have bought and installed K&N 57 FIPK Cold Air Intake and have installed it on to my Lexus Is300. Installation was easy, just make sure you know which bolts go where first. Power gains were minimal, but that is expected out of an intake. If you are buying this for power, it is not going wow you. But the deep throaty growl your car will make after installing this shall put a smile on your face every time you out the throttle down!!!! I do recommend this product! High quality, Easy Installation, Fast Shipping and above all an amazing sound!

Good price and it's CARB legal. As for how it performance, its ok, I mean you can't get any noticeable gains in performance but one thing you do notice is the sound. Before I installed it, all I hear was the whining of the transmission but now I hear the intake. Its not the sucking sound but more of a growl. I like it. its not too loud like an aftermarket exhaust, but it is noticeable. At low rpm you barely hear it. Overall its a good kit. Come's with everything you need and good instructions.

I am satisfied with this kit. The fit was very good and the install took under an hour. Once it is on it functions well and sounds really good. I was a little surprised how much louder this intake is, however it sounds really good. Adds a bit of growl to a car that has an otherwise timid engine sound.Most importantly the air flow to my engine is better and I definitely do notice a bit of difference, mainly on the highway in higher RPM situations.

A la verdad que se siente la diferencia. La aceleración mejoró muchísimo. Fácil de instalar.
