I do use this daily. It has functions that help and does pretty amazing things. At this point... I would trust this tool more than others. I am a technician, I work for Ford and yes, we have scantools but they are usually busy and hard to get a hold of. I needed a tool.... that while I am waiting, I can get closer to a good diagnosis. The startup time is a nightmare... addressing the car itself. Then you are in! If you don't know, ALL Scantools are slow at addressing the car because it needs to check and scan computers on 3 or more networks. There are so many languages and network speeds and protocols now that that is a needed delay. Out Ford IDS is slower that an this tool. SERIOUSLY, this particular tool is a hidden secret and if you are in the industry, BUY IT! I am a tech and feel the shop should burden the expense of a scan tool. I bought it to be productive. Stop sitting on my hands and waiting. I now can get through most jobs without grabbing the shop IDS. If it is still under warranty, I do have to use the factory tool for record keeping.This thing has programmed 8 keys 5 remote fobs, I have customized settings in my car and performed many resets and factory configurations..... it is a $5,000 tool for the mid $1,400 price level.Seriously, I researched... I tested, if the option is in the menu, then the tool will do it. It is proven. 1.5 months now and VERY HAPPY.

This was for my 2006 Ford 150. Used it for a new ECU, keys, trouble shooting, and KAM. This is an awesome device and very sophisticated. I really like how I can visit sites with knowledge to fix / repair right then without having to use a seperate computer.

Undoubtedly is a powerful diagnostic tool, but the software is buggy and sometimes unrefined:When working with the Maxifix (that allows you to see reports from other technicians on problems found in vehicles and solutions given),- After selecting the brand and the year, the next screen appears blank, because it is scrolled down, and there is no indication as to the situation.- When you go over the previous hurdle, then all vehicle types for the brand and sub-models are mixed all together, rather than using the models and sub-models tab.- When you select the sub-model, and the engine, the list of tips has some tips under the icons and there is not way to select them as to read them.There is a pesky pending messages icon on the task bar, that does not get cleared, does not lead to any messages. No application from the MaxiCom software, or from the android system itself is configured to, or shows any pending messages.Besides, when you look for support on the Autel, or Auteltech.com sites, you will find no reference to the Maxicom MK908 or MK908P.You will not find the Maxicom PC Suite, mentioned on page 20 of the manual, anywhere. You need it to be able to print from the system.The english in some of the screen messages is crude for a $2500 toolPrior to purchasing this tool from eBay, I contacted Autel in the US, and they made me aware that the MK series cannot be serviced in the US, because it is an international tool. In case of problems with the tablet, you will have to ship it abroad, either china or europe. They recommended to buy the Maxisys MS908P instead, from one of the brick and mortar dealers in the US. You will find a couple of dealers with prices as good or better than the prices online.

Great product...

This scanner is very nice. I started off with the Maxidas MS808 and it did a lot but this scanner does a lot more. I use it a lot for oil rests on European cars, EPB, battery rests, brake bleed and more. These have really easy to use and operate functions. The on board monitors are very easy to understand. It’s really helpful to watch live data from these devices. The video scope is a cool addition to the kit. I bought this with the intention to also buy the Maxiscope oscilloscope for it as well as learn ECU coding.
