thanks for the reviews that kept the price down/ wow what a bargain
So, I ordered another before posting this review. For intel installs on a i5 8400, this was perfect. All the parts fit and worked. The PWM fan was high quality and does not need replacing. Backplate fit and was an upgrade over the push pins. The side clips for the fan in an intel install were not an issue. Put your glasses on as the groove for the wire clip can be hard to see.Caution, only snug the top plate bolts. Do not make them over tight. This the first secure mounting I have had for an intel product as normally push pins are used as they are cheap and cannot be over tightened. This is a good-looking beast and may be overkill for most folks. I had a full-size mid tower (ATX) and not the cheap pretend mid-tower. I also installed one on a pretend mid-tower and had to use spacers to push the left side plastic case cover out. Slide on metal covers will not work for small towers.

Surprisingly Good Performer
Was able to breath new life into an older FX8320 system which had a failing stock AMD cooler. So not only did it massively improve thermals it also lowered the noise floor as well.Idle temps came down from the mid 55c to 36c idle. 100% load doesn't go over 62c!So if on a tight budget to bring an older AM2+ / AM3+ rig back to life I'd recommend this CPU cooler.

Excellent cooler…. Once you get past the hardware issues.
I want to give this cooler a 5 star rating but I can’t overlook the shortcomings of the mounting hardware. It comes with an intel bracket and an AMD adapter bracket. I personally needed the AMD bracket which worked and fit almost perfectly. The problem lies in the fact that the two screws that you are instructed to use to secure the cooler itself onto the brackets themselves were at least half an inch too short. After about a half hour of breaking my head I had to ditch the instructions and mismatch screws; I took two of the screws that weren’t completely threaded and two of the fully threaded screws to secure the bracket to the motherboard. Next I used the two extra fully threaded screws and bolted the cooler fully onto the bracket and thus it was finally screwed all the way down. It’s sketchy because the screws I was SUPPOSED to use were much thicker and would secure the fan much better but like I mentioned they were too short, and the other screws that I was able to use don’t catch those threads as well but at the very least they worked… Despite that, once I did finally get it kinda properly mounted, the performance was night and day. I saw at least at 8°C drop in temperature while just browsing on the internet, sitting at around 38°C. While gaming I saw a significant drop in temperature, roughly about at 10°C difference, sitting at around 65°C. All in all I definitely recommend this cooler but I would want the seller to please test out the hardware to make the installation a lot easier and quicker.

Absolutely amazing CPU Cooler!
This CPU cooler is a beast for the price! Bought it to cool an Overclocked Phenom 6 core and FX 8120. Bother Overclocked pooling about 140-150w and putting off some heat. Processors staying well bellow 60c under full load! Would 100% recommend for anyone looking to build a system and wanting a solid cooler!

Works, but difficult to install fan
I installed it after watching their video on an Intel b365 motherboard for an lga 1151 processor. Everything went very well until it came time to mount the fan. The supplied fan clips are so tight you can barely get them to clip on. No where near as easy to use as Noctua even though they look similar. Ended up getting it but with bent parts of cooling fins as it seems to be unavoidable given the force necessary. I was seriously tempted to just zip tie the fan in place instead.... Works just fine but this is again a hardware design issue. There is no reason for the fan to be clipped this hard to the heatsink that you have to bend fins just trying to get it to latch. Minus 2 stars for this.

Too Tall for me
Was just a touch too tall - removed the top piece and it still kept side of case from fitting.
