Beautiful jar for my bathroom (but might be glazed with lead)
Love these jars! I've bought several, all with the same color scheme and all with warnings that food cannot be eaten from them. It's a shame, because they look as if they are perfect for cookie jars, but I am not going to take a chance that these jars are glazed with a lead glaze. Lead Glazes for pottery went away in the US back in the 1970's, but apparently it is still used elsewhere. I'll still display the jars, and use them to hold cosmetics (in their containers), but that's it. As there is no level of lead that is safe in people, I am not taking any chances.However, they make stellar containers for the detritus that accumulates on my bathroom vanity. How my husband manages to keep his side of the vanity completely empty, I'll never know. I seem to have more little things every time I go in there. These will at least keep the items corralled.

Pretty with vibrant color
This jar is very pretty and the color is vibrant. The lid fits well and it came well-packed in perfect shape. Looks great on my dining room console. Very happy with this purchase.

So Pretty and the size is perfect!
I loved the pattern and the deep blue color. I am using it on a display shelf with other Spode Blue and you wouldn't know it isn't Spode. I am very happy with this piece.
