Best Bang for Your Buck – Fantastic Laptop Snagged for $399!
This laptop is an absolute steal. At the time of purchase it was priced at $399! (I see it has gone up in price since buying) It’s perfect for students or business professionals, offering great performance, a sleek design, and solid battery life without breaking the bank. The 16” display provides an immersive viewing experience, and the full-sized keyboard with NumPad makes working with numbers a breeze. The Intel Core i5-1235U processor with Iris Xe graphics ensures smooth performance for productivity, editing, and entertainment. With 16GB of RAM, multitasking is seamless, and the 512GB SSD offers plenty of storage for large files and applications.Battery life is solid, lasting up to 10 hours, so you won’t be constantly searching for an outlet. A huge plus is that it comes with the full version of Windows 11 Home—not the restrictive S mode! That means no limitations on app installations, giving you the freedom to use it just like a desktop. For the price, this laptop delivers outstanding value. If you need a fast, reliable, and budget-friendly machine, this is a fantastic choice!

A really decent processor
I was hoping to get a processor with an Intel i7 processor, but with my budget in play, had to settle for the i5 processor on this laptop. After the fact, I cannot say 'I settled', because the processor in this laptop is much faster than I had anticipated. I mean the boot time is asymptotically i7 fantastic. At the timing of my purchase, I did not note the 'lie flat' feature of this laptop, a feature which given I primarily use the laptop with an external screen has come in really handy. Really nice feature. Highly recommend.

Good laptop for the price
Got this awhile back. Will try to hit everything.Build quality is good. Even though it is totally made of plastic, it doesn't feel or look cheap. It does pick up fingerprints quite easily though. The blue color is gorgeous!Keyboard works well. Not a lot of travel to the keys, and it's not backlit, but it works well. Trackpad is plastic and can be temperamental if you have any kind of liquid on your fingers. Lots of useful shortcuts on the keyboard.Processor, which is the i5-1235u was actually nice. For the price, this machine is dang snappy! Running basic programs is a breeze and some lightweight gaming via Eternium and Legends of Runeterra was smooth and enjoyable.Built in webcam is nothing special but also not horrible.Battery life seems average though I must admit this mostly stays attached to the cord in my bedroom. Battery health is still at 98% after almost a year of ownership with it almost constantly plugged in.SSD is quick and it boots up fast. Was gonna expand the storage and RAM but one of the screws on the bottom casing just does not want to unscrew and might be tightened too much or I ended up stripping it. Not sure which it was. It's not super lightweight but it's not a behemoth. For the $400 I paid for it, can't really complain.Oh, but there is one complaint. The screen. Yes it's big and Full HD but unless you have it angled JUST right it can look rather washed out with poor contrast. At that perfect angle it does indeed look great though

solid laptop
Good solid laptop overall. Good value for the price. CPU and GPU performance is very good. Screen is good; keyboard and touchpad are nice, but the keyboard is not backlit. The speakers are on the bottom of the laptop, so sound quality is not so good. The laptop has a lightweight but durable feel to it. Windows 11 feels big and a bit sluggish at times, but the good thing is Asus didn't bloat it up, they just added one support app as far as I can tell. This review is for model X1605ZA.

Slow and lagging
I don’t know much about computers but I’ve been using it for less than 30 days and it’s starting to be very slow. Search engines taking too long for this day and age to load, trying to watch a show on a streaming service isn’t loading and affecting the quality of the show. Now this can’t be the internet because my roommate’s laptop works fine. Also to the person who was trying to call out someone else for it not being touch screen, if something is ADVERTISED and it’s not available they have every right to complain about it, it’s RIDICULOUS for you to even mention themI’m giving another update :It says it’s 512 GB storage but under system>storage it shows 475GB. Plus I have not added any photos, videos, or other programs except downloaded 2 browsers and it’s already at 64.7 GB user with only 411GB available. My old laptop which is 13 years old has more storage and was able to handle multiple programs open open tabs without being so slow. This computer slows if you play one video and have one tab open. I only have a few days left before I can’t return it and I’m just frustrated what the issue is and would be so annoyed if I have to return and search for a new laptop.

Excellent laptop!
ANYTIME you buy an Asus laptop on amazon it shows it with model number that is difficult to track. There is a program called HWInfo that will give you the REAL model number as X1605ZA. You can find more information on the Internet with that than the model number Amazon lists. I have had Asus laptops for years and really liked them all. This one is no exception. There isn't a lot of extra crap software installed. The only thing I uninstalled is the McAfee that it comes with (Not my preferred Anti Virus software) There is 8GB soldered on the main board somewhere, but there is also a single SO-DIMM slot (The configuration I bought came with a 8GB stick in it so I had a total of 16GB when I bought it.) that will take at least a 32GB stick. That is the biggest I have tried and it works fine. If you run the Crucial scan it will not be able to determine what it is capable of but if you search for the base model for this as Asus X1605ZA you will find answers. So I have a total of 40GB of RAM on mine and I love it!!
