Workhorse
I honestly only purchased this with the intention of installing about 100' of privacy fence. It was cheaper to buy this than rent one for the job. This thing has gone above and beyond my expectations. It is a workhorse that keeps going. I've used it to dig fencepoles, irrigation line trenches, and electrical trenches. I am very pleased with the performance. The only real issue I have with it is the quality of the plastic throttle. It seems very brittle and I feel like it will break at any minute. They do include a bunch of extra parts in the repair kit that comes with it though which is really nice.

Post hole auger
For the money, this post hole digger is excellent. Buying this cost less than renting one for the day. Have used it on two different fences. Starts easy, runs good. Watch out for roots and rocks!

great value
Bought this for a fence project. Setup was easy and quick. Motor starts easily. It cuts into the ground with ease. Only issue I had was on the 1st post, I attempted to re-use the hole [4"x4" hole opening] from the old fence post which didn't work with the auger as it needs ground resistance to work properly.

Dysfunctional tool
This belongs on the “Island of Misfit Tools.” If I could select zero stars, I’d prefer that. I bought this after shopping for an auger at my local hardware store, and finding them more expensive than I wanted to spend for fixing my fence. Unlike the typical augers I was seeing at my local hardware store which have the female end of the auger drill assembly as part of the machine, thus allowing you to attach different sized auger drill bits for the hole you need to dig, this machine comes with the male end on the machine and the female end is permanently affixed to the one bit that comes in the box. Which means it’s not just a “one-trick pony” of a tool, but you are not able to change bits at all or use this machine for anything but digging 8” holes, because there is no way to attach other sized bits. The drill bit this auger comes with is 8” diameter. Which would be ideal if my goal was to dig holes big enough for telephone poles—but I simply want to replace a few rotted fence posts. This tool was clearly not manufactured by a person who intends to use it. Waste of time and money.

Overall not bad at all
The machine worked well to dig the 4 post holes I needed to replace our fence, thankfully I could get away with saving 16 other posts without replacing them but I’m sure this machine could have easily taken care of the additional holes. The only negatives are that the machine can take you for a ride if you aren’t careful or if you only weigh 145lbs like I do and some of the materials used aren’t the best quality. The machine itself is pretty light but I also sold it after my usage as it’s an awkward machine to have around as it doesn’t stand up or sit down easily in any configuration (augers on or off).I also never used the mixing bottle, 6” auger, or the cheap tool kit but they were nice to have just in case. The machine was easy to setup even with some funky instructions. The throttle trigger is incredibly fragile and designed poorly out of cheap plastic so it can break easily and chock is spelled wrong on the machine but for $169 and after selling it for $120, I really can’t complain at roughly $10 per hole.Overall not bad at all

This thing is awesome
I was spectacle about it at first but figured would be better than hand digging 25 posts in. Works awesome. Drilled each hole about 32” deep without an issue. Decent quality for the price. Well worth the money if you have a diy project and don’t want to hand dig

Powerful but Auger bit is weak
The auger has good power, any more and it could injure someone.I do have 2 complaints. The user manual needs to have better pictures. The included ones are so dark they are useless.Next is that the auger tip and retaining bolt broke after about 30 minutes of use. I wasn't even digging that hard, the soil had some 2 inch rocks but nothing that couldn't have been dug with a shovel or post hole digger.Heading out to get another auger now.
