great buy lots of fun
to be clear you supply your own battery...i did know this before buying and already had one. great car lots of fun..had to get the upgraded steering components as the standard plastic ones bind up otherwise i enjoyed putting it together and running it around outside.

Great kit, easy to drift.
The kit itself is incredibly sturdy and the english instructions were very clear. It took some time to build, but that’s part of the fun.

Really nice JDM RC Drifter
Usual Tamiya kit that you have to assemble and really good value as this is the TT-02D meaning that it comes with drift tires, oil damped shocks, sport tunned motor and ball bearings. The aluminum heatsink is really nice, but that comes standard on all TT-02 models. ESC is included as usual with USA Tamiya releases, nothing super fancy, but gets the job done and supports sensores brushless Motors for future upgrades. Important to note about this ESC is that is only rated for up to 2s and is really designed for Li-Fe batteries (more common in Asia) here in the US everyone uses Li-Po so keep in mind that you would need a Li-Po low voltage alarm. What sold this model to me was the included LEDs (TL01) and the headlights case as this makes it so much fun at night. Only comes with 2 white and 2 red 5mm led, you can diy the second pair or red led as no skyline should miss the 4 taillights.Super easy to assemble the body as it is all 1 color and the masking stickers come pre-cut. Also the stickers for the outside also come already cut, that saves a lot of time.Only thing that is more time consuming than usual is the assembly of the shocks, but I think it's worth the time.I would recommend sourcing a short servo to give more space for the electronics so that you can use the receiver housing to protect it from dust and hugs.
