Got this for a cat that likes moving water. My cat wants to drink the edge of the water so this is absolutely perfect for her. The water dispenses on a platform and then overflows to drain underneath the platform. Ive had luck using coffee filters to prefilter debris before the other filter, so for cost Ive not really had an issue with it either. You can run it without them as long as you keep it clean, I run some vinegar through it every once in a while to get rid of the buildup inside. Been running for a year 24/7 without issues and is whisper quiet. Light is a bit distracting, you cannot turn it off, but not a deal breaker.

So, I need ya to know that in order for this water fountain to work properly, you really need to understand how to fully take apart the filters and water pump to properly clean it out! I have had mine for a little over a year now, and a month or two in, the water fountain started to have issues where it wasn't pumping the water properly.Yes, it could have needed a new water pump, but what I didn't realize is that I had to really take the whole thing apart to clean all of the pieces necessary. Once I did that, It worked as it did when I first purchased it!It's a great water fountain, i love the way it looks and the light at the bottom that lets you know when it's time to fill the water up again. It's one of the easiest water fountains to clean and refill on a weekly basis (2 cats), but when you need to do your monthly deep-cleaning - that's where the effort and energy comes in. Make sure to have a tool kit that has a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the "impeller" as they call it and you're good to go! It takes about 30 mins once a month to clean all of that out and it seems to work well.It's still going over a year now! I say give it a try, If i could give a more accurate rating, I'd give it a 4.6.

Update 9/11/23 I truly cannot believe I am writing this but the new pump that they sent me is doing the same exact thing! It’s all the sudden not pumping the water hard enough to fill the bowl. I’ve disassembled it multiple times, replaced both filters- it’s brand new looking. It’s spotless. I’ve unplugged it several times. This just is absolutely not worth it. Beautiful design, nice ppl- awful pump that only is good for 1 month. Do not buy.Update 8/21/23 They reached out & sent me a new pump within 3 days- super easy to attach & worked perfectly! Great customer service! Thank you! (& they did NOT ask me to update the review, which was nice as well)Today, one day past the time I could return it (I purchased this exactly 30 days ago) the pump all the sudden lost its power. Everything was already clean but I took it apart & made sure, I changed the filters… the pump just isn’t pushing as much anymore soo now it doesn’t even land in or fill up the little bowl… aka it’s useless now! It’sa shame because this was my favorite one I had bought for her but to only last 30 days? Reading the reviews I see a pattern… super bummed.

This item is labeled as a cat water fountain but I use it for my medium-sized dog, Jack Russell Terroir, and she loves it!!! I've tried many other dog fountains but they're very noisy. This one is VERY, VERY quiet. I love it and so does my dog. Loved it so much I purchased a total of 3 just to have around the house (both upstairs and downstairs). I like that not only is it quiet but easy to refill and the light tells you where the water level is. The light also serves as a nightlight, if you will. The fountain is unlike any other fountain out there. I truly, truly love it and it is definitely worth it!!!!

Update as of 7/26/23I was able to buy the 3rd filter as it finally arrived on 6/30/23. All together in price of having it run for a year is roughly $92 with replacing filters every 2 weeks. The first week of having a new filters it was still having issues pumping problems. With having it turned off when I was home and only having it plugged in when I was out, it seemed to fix itself a little over a week later. When it started to run again with no issues, I still did my method for about a for a couple of days. Haven't had to unplug it since with consistent flow. Have only changed the filters once so far, about to change them out again. Changing the filters out and making sure you soak them before like the directions say is a key factor. That said I also only ever have to refill it every week in a half to 2 weeks around the same time I replace the filters. Very happy the situation was able to fix itself with some time and care with it taking under a month.My cats are up there in age, just have turned 12. Elevation when eating and drinking for animals is a lot more serious than people think it is. Not only is this great for them as it is elevated, whisker friendly, it also has been amazing for me, their human, who lives in a city that transportation takes a bit more time than when I lived in a suburban area. Now living with only 1 other person, it's more difficult to assure they have not only water in general, as well as clean water since my 1 cats likes to clean his paw with the drinking water making it more dirty more often. Worked fine the first 2 weeks. Was only able to replace the double filter and very small filter by the motor since the filter in the middle is not available to buy. Replaced the filters after 2 weeks as specified. Stopped working in week 3. Would unplug it overnight to see if that helped. Seems to me the smallest filter by the motor can get clogged up fast hence why the flow stops. Have had it unplugged for a good week. Recently just rinsed out all the filters and plugged it back in. Appears to be working again. Will watch it over this weekend and hopefully solved the dilemma. It's very cute and efficient when the flow of the water works for the price. For those who are curious or on a budget, on how much it will cost in general all together, the main filter/motor filter of a 6 pack and truly have to replace it every 2 weeks, the cost will come out to around $52 a year for a total of 4 separate packs of 6. Not including the 3rd filter.

The media could not be loaded.  For the price, this fountain is a steal. It runs efficiently and quietly 24/7, looks cute and has yet to break down. I’ve had it for about 5 months. The charcoal filters do fill up quite quickly, but that’s because my bird likes to soak his food in his water. I makeshift my own filters with coffee filters and that works fine. I was a little disheartened when the water fountain pressure began to drop despite cleaning it 2x per week, however, the water pump was very easy to take apart to clean and it went back to functioning great! A water pump cleaning is necessary only every 3-4 months. The exposed cord can be wrapped with vet wrap or electrical tape to prevent chewing. It’s very durable and it’s managed to withstand my parrot’s chewing for months without protection (it’s protected now). It’s easy to put together, clean and maintain. It’s suitable for cats, dogs, birds and reptiles. My parrot loves it!!

Au moins les chats peuvent la trouver facilement la nuit.Petit défaut sur le filtre, il se colmate très vite. Je l'ai retiré et je ne garde que le filtre de la pompe. Cela fonctionne très bien et suffit largement pour filtrer les impuretésTrès silencieux au niveau de la pompe. Il y a juste un petit bruit d'eau qui s'écoule (c'est hyper léger et peu être reposant)

Der Brunnen ist zunächst wirklich super leise und wurde von den Katzen sofort angenommen.Allerdings ist der Brunnen etwas schwierig zu reinigen, an manchen Teilen gar nicht möglich.Aber so richtig blöd ist, dass der Brunnen, wie bei vielen anderen in den Rezensionen auch, nach einem halben Jahr, trotz regelmäßiger Reinigung wie vorgeschrieben, defekt ist. Die Pumpe brummt plötzlich extrem laut und es kommt bloß noch ein kleines Rinnsal raus, das nicht mehr bis zur Trinkschale reicht. Somit nicht mehr nutzbar. Extrem ärgerlich!Update: Ich habe nach Kontakt zum Verkäufer kostenlos einen nagelneuen Trinkbrunnen zugeschickt bekommen. Dieser ist wieder super leise und funktioniert bisher einwandfrei. Diesmal ist sogar extra eine kleine Bürste zur Reinigung der schwer erreichbaren Stellen im Paket erhalten, wirklich super. Sehr freundlich und kulant, vielen Dank. Daher 5 Sterne.
