The Tesla frame attaches to front bumper with two sided tape. Difficult to align and likely to fall off in harsh weather. Not acceptable.TesFram offers an excellent alternative.1. Quality of Build: Excellent. Sturdy metal finished in black matte that appears will withstand harsh environments.2. Ease on installation: Very good. Installed in about a minute once plate was attached. Screws for attaching the plate were a bit short when adding a frame and plate protector. Had to use longer screws that were not in original kit. Attaching the plate was straight forward and took a few minutes. Perfect alignment on the Tesla was a no-brainer.3. Position once installed: Excellent. Will minimally impede intake airflow to the Tesla. Plate stands off the bumper by slightly over an inch so will not blemish Tesla’s finish.4. Security: Excellent. Attaches strongly and securely due to excellent mechanical design features that include security set screw making removal difficult without tools.I strongly recommend this product.

I recently hopped on the EV rebates and incentives to get myself into a 2023 Tesla Model 3. I knew going into it that I would like to buy an aftermarket front license plate holder (NJ Requirement). The stock plastic hunk taped to the front just wouldn't cut it and simply couldn't ever look as good, last as long, and have a lighter impact on the front end. I was fortunate enough to have had the TesFram plate holder for weeks before my plates arrived. I was impressed just in the unboxing!However, now that it's been installed lets give a rundown.The Pros:Great material, design, and coatingEasy assembly and installationSelf alignmentSolid mountingSnug fit that doesn't feel too aggressive or too loose (a perfect fit)No rattles or noisesNot very noticeableHex screw lock more that sufficient (other vendors have silver keyed levers and that seems excessive and highly visible for little added security if any at all)Quick removal if I want to give the front a thorough wash/detailThe Con (Yeah only the one):I did buy aftermarket silicone plate frames (2 pack) one of which mounted behind the front plate. It adds the black border to my plate that you see here and does allow it to look more "integrated" with the holder. I don't believe that is covering up any issues with the holder itself but it may be helping it along the way. The edges of most plates are pretty sharp and this just makes me feel better in both handling the whole assembly and with anyone that may be running around or bending over into the frunk.Overall, I am pleasantly surprised at the product and the purchase. It's been going about 1000+ miles at the time of this review and have had no reason to doubt it's installation, look, or aerodynamics (noise or mileage impact).If I were to buy another Tesla this would be the first accessory on it's way to my door!

Solid frame that locks in tight. Looks great and easily centered. Makes it easy to install the front license plate without measurements. Great value for the quality.

I live in a state which requires a license plate to be mounted at the front of the car. The plastic tape-in-place plastic bracket for holding a license plate to the front of my Tesla Model Y fell off, even though I'd been particularly careful in mounting the bracket to the car. It was annoying and not inexpensive to have to obtain replacement plates, thus I decided to use a bracket which provided a more positive means of attaching to the car. I chose this one after careful consideration of features of brackets available on Amazon, looking at their designs, and reading of reviews.This bracket is excellent. I like that the bracket has a frame which supports all of the perimeter of the license plate. The directions for installing it were clear. It was easy to install. It's very sturdy. It seems very well made. It looks good.Putting a screw into the bracket at a specific location prevents the bracket's latching mechanism from moving to the unlatch position. I use that screw to ensure the bracket doesn't inadvertently come loose. It works perfectly. The bracket is designed to be removable from the car by removing that screw. I have no reason to remove the bracket, so have not done so. I anticipate it would be easy to remove and then reinstall.

Well designed plate holder. Instead of grabbing onto the grille louver, this holder expands and grabs onto upper and lower lips of the grille opening. As a result, it is very sturdy once fastened. It also leaves enough space between the plate and the front face of the car so as not to cause any scratch.Couple of things that can be improved: the set screw is not very strong. In fact, mine started slipping when I tried to tighten it. I had to use thread lock liquid to make sure it won't fall out. I would recommend that thread lock be used for all screws. The other issue is that if you mount the license plate low, you might not be able to access the locking tab easily. I had to use a screw driver to push it down before I can reach it and pull it down.
