xTool S1 20w update
Shortly after I wrote this review Yvette from xTool reached out and helps me out with my riser base and sent out an exchange right away. The pass through riser base is only available for purchase on their website. The machine is awesome and very easy to set up and use from xTool’s creative space or lightburn. I have a few lasers and other CNC equipment and this is by far the easiest and produces the best quality of my laser machines. The image quality and speed are pretty amazing! Also, xTool’s customer service is excellent unlike many other laser machine companies. It’s also super fun to use, my other machines are more like using a tool. It’s not a toy for sure but it’s great to have something you look forward to working with!Quick tip, I added clear protective wrap (like 3M’s clear chip guard) to my plastic so it wouldn’t get scratched up or foggy.* Everything was great, except it’s not detailed very well. All the previous reviews point out some features which are mostly as promised, however, the description does not mention the riser (the US version is shown in reviews as the a pass through version for future expansion) is not what I received and is also not noted in the item description requiring another purchase before adding the conveyor unit. Also, previous version had a few more polished finishes also shown in their video promotion and reviews of this product. The chrome detail along the lids hinge area is gone allowing you to see the adhesive strip. I know it’s a small detail but it’s not as shown in the description. I love the machine but it is a little disappointing to see some cost cutting that is so visible.I still love the product just wish it matched the expectations in some of the details. I would rate it higher but didn’t for said reasons. My exception was 5 stars and functionally it has met that. Product description and what I received were not (totally based on the add and promotional material).

Great lazer
Highly recommend purchasing the bundle. The riser that comes with this is the riser that opens for the rollers for bigger product. The tumbler comes with the chuck roller also. The ad is not very descriptive. The special lazer piece is soooo worth the buy. It does great work. Very easy settup good for beginners also

This laser machine…just WOW!
Just got it set up and about ready to start using. I have high hopes for this laser engraver. It was packaged so well! Arrived as expected with no issues. Heavy, substantial, beautiful machine. This kit has many additional components. Rotary kit, riser, honeycomb, air assist. I’ve priced around and this one available through Amazon seems like the best value. I’ll be updating my review as I begin to use this laser machine.

Be aware: Included Class 1 riser base limits functionality
Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase. I haven't yet used the rotary attachment, but the 20w unit has proven precise and easy to use. While I am familiar with Lightburn, XCS is easy to use, though I'm still learning how to adjust settings when the results aren't quite what I wanted. But then there's the included Class 1 riser base. When I was first putting the unit together, I had watched multiple setup videos. All heaped praise and said the riser base was essential to getting the most out of the unit. What I didn't realize is that all of the reviewers were using the Class 4 riser base that supports the conveyor function, has a drop down front panel, and multiple slots that allow the user to adjust the height of the riser base. The Class 1 riser included with the "deluxe" package is not that one. It is a single unit that requires you to fully remove the base plate from the main unit and then screw it onto the riser base. This takes about 20 minutes and requires you to move the main unit more than once, risking damage. And, once attached, the riser base/base plate cannot be adjusted in any way. It's just a big rectangular stilt. The problem with that is that the laser unit cannot lower itself enough for any standard, flat project. There's one small line in the instructions that indicates that you may have to raise anything flat for the laser to reach it. No accessory or instructions are included. Just one brief acknowledgement that the riser base makes it difficult to use the laser for standard projects. This is a fundamental design flaw. The Class 1 Riser base renders the Xtool S1 virtually useless for standard projects (i.e. engraving coasters, cutting thin wood, anything flat) without some kind of jerry rigged riser. You cannot use the honeycomb easily, most things you would use to raise things up enough could be burned by the laser, and insuring whatever you're using to raise things sufficiently is actually level is a challenge. So the Class 1 riser base is ONLY useful for larger items, the RA2 rotary assembly, and little else. While the other parts of this bundle are solid, including the laser, air assist, exhaust fans, honeycomb, etc., the Class 1 riser base is nearly a deal-breaker.So if you do want the great precision, ease-of-use, and reliable results of the Xtool S1, be certain to only get one with a riser base that supports the conveyor function (a.k.a. the Class 4 base). Otherwise, you will be very frustrated with the 20 minutes, heavy lifting, and potential droppage issues involved with attaching or detaching the larger riser base as is necessary to change project types from flat to anything larger and vice-versa.I recommend the Xtool S1, but do not, under any circumstances, reccomend the Class 1 riser base included with this bundle.

update: lightburn support is improving, xtool reached out to fix the issues with creative space.
an update from my old review the lightburn software has some workarounds and the beta version will have much better support. Xtool reached out to fix the issues and has been great I now have about 9 hours of operating time and have encountered no other issues. This is being used in an industrial setting and although it may not be the best laser for that it is by far the best value for what we need. The hardware is well made and very nice looking the laser is great and easy to swap out. I would recommend this.

Winner
I love X-tool and they have a winner with this machine! I have been using it for about four months now, wanted to wait to write my review and I can honestly say I love everything about this machine! I do want to get the IR head that comes with it so I have more options but that purchase will be later. It is much easier to set up than the D1 pro I had before and so much easier to use! I would give more than five stars if I could.

Great laser engraver
The media could not be loaded. From the moment I downloaded xtools software to making the first engravings I have been impressed with this machine. It has opened up a new level to my crafts and woodworking. I have found it easy to use xtool has an excellent community of users on Facebook and Instagram.
