Fantastic Book, Very Small Print, Needs an Ebook
The book is fantastic in the level of detail it provides. If you want to know the broad history of BASIC and dive into some particular (and peculiar) aspects, this is probably one of the better books I've seen. By that criterion alone, the book would have five stars from me.However, the print is tiny (at least to my old eyes) and the line height is set to very small; I'm guessing 1.1. There are also some URLs in the resource section, pretty long ones, that you have to type in. These problems could be mitigated by an ebook version, where someone could scale the font accordingly, set the line height, and access the links more easily. Because of that lack, and solely because of that lack, I felt the book was more of a chore to read. (Plus: saving trees is a good thing.) But, again, I want to be clear: purely from the content alone, this book is fantastic and highly recommended.
