Does NOT drop 500m
This doesn't drop nearly close to 500m!! Was super disappointed upon testing, and went to return asap. It drops a mere 200m instead, and stops responding right at that point (yes I measured because seriously, $40 bucks for this thing?!). Even with the antenna fully extended, nothing in between us, it was spotty around 180, and stopped right at 200m. Really quite disappointed.

Good for fishing
My husband purchased this to use for fishing and I laughed so hard at him and his antics but it works pretty well.
