Rub the squished corners
I ordered 96 panels, they all came just as expected. They arrived in vacuum-packed bags, and expanded instantly when I opened them. One of the packages had panels that were squished on the sides, but I just rubbed the squished sides between my fingers for about 2 minutes and they released into proper form, indistinguishable from the other panels that immediately expanded. These are proper 2-inch soundproofing panels - they aren't going to kill a slamming door or a high pitched squeak, but they help me isolate recordings and keep sound bleed from my house to the lowest reasonable minimum. There can be people in a nearby room talking at a normal volume and I'll still be able to capture the guitar or vocal performance I've been practicing just fine.Ultimately, this is about the best deal you can expect for 2-inch foam panels for the price. No disappointments or unexpected letdowns here.

100% On Point
1st things first …YOU MUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR THEM TO REGAIN THERE ACTUAL SHAPE AND SIZE ! • Let sit for 24-48 hrs • (Method I use) - Fill your Bathtub with Hot/Warm water. Throw them in the water And push them all under. You have to make Sure EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM IS SOAKED! Drain water, ring as much water as possible Out of each one, set on towel & place a fan In front of them for a few hrs (or overnight) !IF DONE, THEY WILL ALL BE SAME SIZE & SHAPE !Very nice product.. Super soft , thick material , Best bet for your buck without a doubt ! 10/10

XLNT product....Square and Expanded Immediately
I needed to put acoustic foam on a Window...with the "points" pointing OUT...flat side pointing into my house.ie...soundproof the "outside". Absorb sound waves going thru the window. Whether it works or not...gimme a few days to install and assess.However...When searching for these foam "panels"...I did my research...- I knew 1 inch thick was a mistake - I bought 2 inch thick.- WAY too many reviews said "they didn't expand"....12 by 12 ..."none were square"...."don't waste your money"- I figured if they didn't expand...you get 'em wet...& wait 3 hours...as in the instruction...- If ALL 24 didn't expand...and were odd shapes...and horrible...I'd be surprised.So...I bought 24 of the black 2 inch x 12 inch x 12 inch for 47 bux...about 2 dollars a square foot. They turned out PERFECTLY.....out of the box...out of the air-tight plastic...they ALL EXPANDED IMMEDIATELY.Every one is SQUARE....I was worried at a level "10"...from the reviews..but MY experience was perfect. They look to be easily cut b/c I need a width of 4 foot 10 inches....and cut last ones to fit the height.I'm not adhering them to a wall...maybe 4 or 5 to themselves in a row....I bought some Gorilla Gluethat says it works on "Foam"...we'll see.Bottom line...all this stress reading about expansion and squareness didn't apply to MY order.Check out the picture....taken literally minutes after opening the air-tight packaging.Customer Cool10/23/18

Mostly aesthetics, some functionality (80/20)
Total Cost as Seen (additional products purchased): $123.63Build Time: 1.5 HoursI initially bought this product to help reduce the upstairs noise. My wife and I share the floor with three kids over three-bedroom spaces. Needless to say, it can get loud at times. In the center hall is where the office space is.Most reviews speak to the obvious: cheaply made, hard to stick to the wall and not very functional. Searching through the reviews, I was able to find two solutions which ended up solving all problems except one: pricing. I used black backboard and nailed it to the wall to create a landscape for the foam. Second step was applying double sided adhesive tape to the entire surface. Last, I sprayed 3M adhesive on each tile one at a time working from top to bottom, inside to out. It’s been a week now and zero issues, still in place.Packaging: Item arrived in a vacuum sealed package. Once open, I followed the instructions to wait 24 hours before application. Every foam tile completely expanded with zero issues. Everything was cut correctly with no misshapen tiles present.Functionality: As a tester, I can see how this solution would benefit an entire space, ceiling to floor. There’s just not enough foam on the wall to hear much of a difference. As I don’t own a device to test decibel levels, there’s no comparison model.Aesthetic: I bought the all-black foam tiles. Looking at it now, I would have bought the off color (red and black) as it would have better suited the computer setup. A minor gripe really. It makes a huge difference in the space. The pictures say it all.Price: What you see is what wall coverage looks like with this pack. 24 sq ft isn’t a whole lot of coverage. There are a few other manufacturers selling similar items for cheaper. Just a considerationI’ve included links to the other products I bought to make this project a success. They're good - but you'll probably want two Packs
The media could not be loaded. These are good, as advertised. The chemical smell is bad at first, but it eventually goes away. I let these sit for 8 hours before I just put them up. I woke up the next morning and they looked the same - no issues with alignment or things falling down because of extra expansion. I didn't see any more expansion beyond that anyway.I think I'll buy 2 more packs in the future for my room - ceiling and back wall - I think that would be best. Hopefully my video can help you. I have found that this does deaden the echo when I am in my workspace.

They get the job done
They're cut a bit uneven, so if you need your panels perfectly aligned, you might want to pay a bit extra for higher quality. Sometimes the foam tears in the back so they don't all stay up, but for the most part they work just fine.
