we now have 4 of these in our home. and 1 went off to college. 3 of 6 of us sleep with it on nightly, irregardless if we have a headache or not. between this and my weighted blanket, I'm sleeping 8+ hrs a night.

This cap keeps nice and cold to help relieve my migraines. I fall asleep long before it begins to get warm.It keeps light out far better than any sleep mask. When I slip this down, no light shows through at all.I especially like the gel in this band, as this is my second one. My other is from another brand. This one is my backup for when my favorite is being washed and waiting to dry. This is due to it being just a bit tighter than my favorite.The gel weighs a bit heavier on the eyes than a regular sleep mask, but for me it is not uncomfortable.Some of these gel masks can be a bit pricey. At the time of my review, this is $10 US which makes it very reasonable.

It worked for my wife, but also discovered that the shape allowed her to use it on her arm/elbow as well and again, it felt good and worked for her.The Migraine Relief Cap, All Around Gel Covered Reusable Headache Relief Cap comes wrapped in a thin plastic bag that is not meant for anything beyond opening the package. And the Migraine Relief Cap, All Around Gel Covered Reusable Headache Relief Cap doesn’t come with any other bag or place to store it, so when putting it into the fridge or freezer, there is nothing to put it in to keep it clean. We have gotten similar products of various shapes and al of them came with some sort of bag in which to keep them. It really don’ts make sense not having one here. I did seriously consider dropping this from a 5 to a 4 star review, but decided against it - only because the Reusable Headache Relief Cap is worth having. So heads up, you’ll need to consider a way to keep it clean when in its getting cold phase.The material is soft and with the gel feels like this mushy, soft, pliable thick wrap to the point of ... maybe a weird hug... it feels good on. And wow does it get cold! When first starting out we have to use a towel to help turn down the cold a bit. It is nicely pliable to wrap around the head, but also the arm, but it feels good being able to have the material right up against the skin and not having those missing spots of a lot of ice packs - even better than cold bags of vegetables. Overall it’s a really nice ice pack. Haven’t used the heat side, but we got it as an ice pack... maybe one day... we are happy to have this Migraine Relief Cap, All Around Gel Covered Reusable Headache Relief Cap.

This gel cap has just found a permanent place in my refrigerator. When you need it you really need it ready to go. The cap had a slight chemical odor upon opening, which dissipated now a day later. The cap is stretchy and fits pretty tight for my smallish head. The cap is pretty heavy. It was almost busting open the packaging, which is too light for this cap. Love the versatility of putting the cap higher and being able to see walking around. Headache does not mean it is a vacation. I am glad I can continue doing things and having the cold on my head. The cold lasts pretty long time. One minus I can see and want to be addressed is the absence of the removable cover. I would sooo like to have a cover or two to be included with this product. The cap might be a little to cold right out of the fridge/freezer, so I would like to have a soft fuzzy cover for those times, and replace it later with a very thing cover when the temp is up. Also like to have covers to keep it hygienic, it is mostly on your face and I would like to wash it often. I might have to buy another cold cap to alternate while having a whole day headache.

When I received the Migraine Relief Cap I tossed it in the freezer to chill it overnight. Well! It did such an effective job at cooling there were ice crystals on the cap and it was far too cold for me to use immediately. It had to thaw for about 30 minutes to get to a tolerably cool temperature. Also, I found that trying to stretch it when ice cold was painful on my hands. It was harder to stretch over my head when ice cold, and once a tad warmer it was easier to manipulate.Thus I know from now on to keep it in the back of the refrigerator.Effectiveness: the cap feels great when not frigidly cold. It's a nice experience to feel the cool pressure all around, it's soothing and deadens ambient sensations. Although I did not have a headache when trying it, I do get occasional tension headaches, and once a year I seem to have an especially nasty, week-long migraine. Instead of making frequent trips to the freezer for chilled, stiff facecloths, this cap is a far better option because it is neither wet nor hard.One note: I don't know if this would fit someone with an unusually large head (like my spouse) as the stretch is limited, it's not like an elastic band.Priced at $7.99 at the time I write this review, it's an excellent value that provides necessary comfort at not only masking symptoms but helping to eliminate them.
