HP Elite 8200 SFF Business Desktop Computer, Intel Core i7-2600, 2TB HDD, 16GB DDR3, Windows 10 Professional (Renewed) (i7 | 16GB | 2T HDD | Wind 10 Pro + WiFi)

We ordered a PC to replace the main unit that we use, the older pc was just getting to slow and could not keep up with the new changes. Once it was delivered we unpacked it and set it up. The keyboard, mouse and wifi dongle might as well dump them. they are pretty cheaply made. We updated software and works great no problems.

I wanted to replace my raspberry pi NAS solution I had running for two years. Nothing was wrong with it, but I have been slowly moving everything to the NAS and from there to cloud backup, and wanted more flexibility to run docker containers.It was hard to find a fanless system with lots of hard drive bays. This doesn't quite fit the bill, but it does have three bays, and with some velcro tape, two laptop HDD will fit into one bay. It is an older system, but is more than capable of streaming movies from an Emby server while doing a cloud backup and running a bunch of docker containers.I don't remember exactly what the problem was, but I added a small SDD as a boot drive, but I couldn't get it to recognize the USB stick I was using to install the OS. Mostly, it had to do with needing to coordinate BIOS/UEFI settings and the wording was a bit weird. Once I had the OS, I've not had any problems at all. It has Linux installed, and for giggles I installed Steam. I wouldn't call this a gaming machine by any means, but for the games I play, it worked perfectly fine without interrupting its primary use as a NAS.The main problem is there is a slight rattle from a fan. I will probably end up replacing the fan. It isn't loud (like the HP800 SFF I have as my main desktop). This is my third HP SFF computer, and all have had crappy fans that make it louder than it needs to be. But, for the price, it is a good value.

This the second one of these that I bought. The first one had issues and I had to send it back. Amazon was good about a refund so I bought this one and it has been working well since I got it. It's not the best computer I could get but it's a good solid computer that does what I need it to do and then some.

I was so pleasantly surprised when the computer arrived 2 days eay. Set up was a breeze and it seemed to be performing at a good speed. However, the tower was making lots of noises. Fast forward to the evening. The machine fell asleep and now is struggling to come out of sleep mode. It's been a black screen. How? Already? It JUST arrived.Will update, but I can't believe that it's ALREADY having issues? How!?!Update: I had continuous issues with the screen not coming out of sleep mode. Just a plain black screen. I returned the desktop. Kind of a bummer. I really loved having a desktop again for about 2 days.

Works just fine.

My initial impressions (will update as time goes on)Keyboard is cracked, keys are broken and the missing pieces aren't even in the box.This computer sounds.... strange. I've heard of this happening and then they settle down after setup, so I'm powering through it. Fingers crossed.The included wi-fi adapter (not happy that it didn't come with wi-fi already installed, but ok) says its 150mb/s. We have excellent wi-fi and connection speeds with every other computer, but this thing is CRAWLING. ----DAY 2 UPDATE ----- Have to run troubleshooter every TWO MINUTES because the default gateway cannot be found. Drivers are up to date, but it just doesn't work for long.Will have to wait and see after I get everything transferred and actually use software before I'll be able to fully review, but so far...... I'm definitely saving the packaging in preparation to return.Biggest issue.... Even though I am the ONLY user, and am administrator... I'm locked out of many settings. I can't even adjust the time zone on this thing to get the right time. There's no way I'll ever be able to fix everything that is wrong with this thing.

So far this refurbished PC is okay. It is quiet, boots up fairly quickly. I can't find any fault but I have only had it three weeks.
