Lucky Dog Kennel Side Winter Screen, 24" L x 57" H

A year after ordering the 5' x 10' deluxe Lucky Dog kennel (and also thermoplastic flooring), I decided to add the windscreen shade and winter kit, and I'm very glad I did so. Previously I was placing an outdoor white table cloth on the kennel to keep the sun and wind off my English springer spaniel, and it was held to the kennel by shower curtain rungs and my daughter told me it looked very tacky. So I ordered the windscreen (made to fit my size kennel) and it works just great. I used only half of the material during this past Memphis summer (folded it under) so there would be both shade and an open area for my dog to look out, but this winter I plan to place it completely around the sides to keep out the majority of the rain and snow (I have a wooden dog house inside the kennel, and I winterize it as needed). And so now the kennel looks very cool with the appropriate-sized black ventilated shade material attached securely (yet can be removed if needed) on the black powder-coated kennel; I might add that the Lucky Dog kennel is extremely well-made and neighbors have offered compliments on how good it now looks). I plan to report back in a year how well windscreen/winter kit holds up to the elements, but it appears to be very good synthetic mesh material and it comes with plenty of ties (really too long so I cut them off with the pliers after the tie) and brass-type grommets for the ties, and so I have given it the highest rating.

I bought this cover to help shade my Pitbull Mastiff's AKC 5x10' kennel from the sun when I have to go to work. After shopping around for a bit, this seemed to be the best deal for what I was looking for, and I guess I mis-read it because I thought it would only cover a 10' portion of the kennel. Instead it covers all but the door portion, which I'm totally okay with, since he can still see out of it but it blocks the shade. It def has made it cooler in the kennel. The only reason I didn't give this product five stars is because it didn't come with any zip ties like advertised, just the cover itself. Luckily I had just bought a pack of zip ties to reinforce my dog's indoor kennel (he's really giving Houdini a run for his money the way he manages to escape his indoor kennel), so I wasn't too worried about it, but it would have been nice to get everything advertised in the package. Otherwise, I def recommend this product.

I live in western WA. I works well here cuz it rains 80% OF the time. It is cooler here year round.You probably would not want this on a dog kennel out in the sun during the summer. Unless the dog belong to your ex and it bites.This screen blocks a lot of the wind and heats up

I bought this because the kennels get hot during the heat of the day. I installed it with clamps so that I can fold it partially back if I want to do so. That way, it allows partial sun and I can see my dogs. The size is generous and it wraps around both 8 x 4 kennels that I have side-by-side. I also does a good job of keeping the kennels dry on a wet, windy day.

Great sun blocker for outside dog run. During the summer, it gets super hot on the side of the house where our dog run is located. Our dog has doggy doors so he can go in and out of the house himself, however, during the summer, the pavement on the side of the house gets very hot. This item produces quite a bit of shade, so my little Scooter will not burn his paws when he goes outside to do his thing. In fact, I purchased a second one of the these items to place on the side of the run. Love it and so does Scooter.

I should of read the description better I guess, but the picture shows a top, so I assumed it was included. It is not though, only the side wrap around piece is...Despite that though, this wrap around is not worth what I paid. You could buy the material from a hardware store and make something similar for $20. Not worth it...

So far, so good. I would like to see the fabric around the grommets reinforced to keep from eventually tearing, as with all products with tie down grommets. Does an excellent job of blocking sun, keeping kennel much cooler. I think it would work great around a sun shade canopy.

Well made but not as much air flow as I expected. I'm sure it will shed the rain well but I wish it would allow for better air flow otherwise I would give it 5 stars.
