Great addition to the jig making arsenal.
I purchased the 3/4" UHMW material to use as miter slides for a cross-cut sled rebuild and they work great. In my original build, I used manufactured aluminum slides with adjustments. The aluminum slides were hard to install and adjust; they would bind and never really worked smoothly. After reading other reviews about the problems with the UHMW bulging, I considered expensive. steel slides. Believing I had a solution to the bulging problem I ordered the UHMW. They slide smoothly, were easy to work with, and have very little [excess] play. The strips arrived in good condition and were a perfect fit to the slots in my Craftsman/Steel City table saw. One of the strips rides in an aftermarket miter track [saw table extension] and was too wide for that slot; however, a pass over the joiner fixed that easily. My design to avoid the bulging problem was to capture the slides in a shallow [3/32"] dado and I used binding posts to attach the strips to the sled (just snug, the dado keeps them in place). I used wood bits [brad point and forstner] to drill and countersink the binding posts in the UHMW and a plunge router to countersink the binding posts in the MDF sled. The finished sled is accurate and slides smoothly. I will be using this product again and hope this review helps others.

Worked out good - after a bit of fussing
Material is great, very smooth and quiet. It was about .005 to small and I thought that it would be “sloppy” but ended up fitting very well. What I did was place a strip of packing tape down one side of each piece, place them in the table saw tracks facing opposite each other (one tape side on right, one tape side on right) to force the untapped sides toward the blade. Thing that if they were to small they would at least be tight on one side of the track and it worked. I actually get great contact on both sides of the strips now that they’ve been fastened down. And to that note, DON’T screw them from the bottom, screw them down front he top! The material “mushrooms”. When screwing form the top they also “mushroom” and you you have to take them off, clean up the screw holes and installed them again. But it’s easy since they will line up in the tracks with the screen holes, I uses CA glue to help secure them. Overall worked good and I didn’t spend $$$ on expensive aluminum. Will see if they last but after a good waxing, slice like butter with no adjusting at all.

smooth glide
I did a ton of research to find a good option for table saw sled runners. Wood expands and contracts and would not have have been a good choice. I was skeptical about metal and then found this UHMW product.Following a video I found from one of my woodworking channels, I did my install.I did not use CA-glue but rather small pieces of two-sided tape in order to reposition if necessary. If they are tightened too much then the sled will bind in the miter.I was concerned in the package delivery that the piece was bent but it reforms back with slight bending. Before screwing in I made sure it was level and flat.I would buy the is again for any future jigs requiring me to use my table saw miter slot.

Great abrasion resistance
I needed this material for the workout strips that provide the bearing surface on an obsolete saw fence. My fence now slides like new! Before I cut the required piece I needed, I checked the fit in my table slots, as it’s advertised as being the perfect thing for making things such as table saw sleds. It did have a uniform dimension and was sized so that it would fit the largest slots. This would have been a easy material to alter to a perfect fitting alignment bar. Do I think it’s worth the price? I guess it compares to everything else now days. Would I buy it again if the need for more presented itself? Yes!

Good but not great
The bars fit perfectly in the miter slots, but once you csrew them onto your sled, they expand slightly and then don't fit so great. Very difficult to sand them down to get them to run smoothly. I think I'll go back to making my runners out or hardwood; cheaper and easier to modify the fit.

Great for decently accurate sled
Used the UHMW bar in a cross cut sled for my table saw. Other reviews have complained about the accuracy, but the bar I received fit snugly without any noticeable play in the miter slots. Maybe I just got lucky, but it worked well enough for the one project I've used it for so far. Slides easily and is easy to cut and drill into. I'd recommend this for anyone that wants to make a quick jig but doesn't want to cut runners out of plywood and doesn't need extremely accurate cuts.
