I’m a retired professional photographer and needed a backdrop for some work I decided to do. This backdrop is great. The colors are deep and the backing could also be used as a white backdrop if desired. This well made item has a self fabric sleeve at the top (not mentioned in the product description and a definite plus). It arrived with creases from the way it was folded for shipment. They were easy to remove with an iron set to low temperature steam though I think a steamer would have been ideal for the job.All in all, this is a good value for the money. I recommend it.

Package arrived quickly. It is made of a velvet type fabric that lists "Machine washable and safe for all dry cleaning". It can become very static and so will attract all forms of lint, dust and fur. Wiping it with a lint brush adds to the static problem and leaves a trail in the velvet which shows up under lights, so an adhesive lint roller is better. The colors are very vibrant in the brown backdrop and it looks professional and more expensive than it is. I will be ordering the bigger one and others as well. * Wrinkles are stubborn, but steam iron (low setting) on reverse will take them out for the most part followed by a mist on the reverse side after hanging. There is a small rod pocket on the one that I ordered (brown 5x7)

I am thrilled! This backdrop surpassed my expectations. I am already looking at other colors to order from Kate, based on the quality of this one. Threw it in the dryer and all wrinkles came out, the colors and rick and lovely, high quality. Thank you so much, it’s such a rarity to purchase an item online that exceeds what you hope for.

It's a nice backdrop, and not made out of that flimsy plastic or faux table cloth material so many others use (don't bother with those). That means it'll actually be durable and still in one piece the next time you want to use it.It is a little smaller than I'd expected, although it's exactly the size they said it would be, so I guess we know who's fault that is. Only reason I docked it a star is because it's difficult to iron, and it definitely needs ironing. Again, that may be more my fault than theirs. Overall you'll be satisfied with it though, and I'd buy it again.

5x7 is the perfect size for a solo portrait, couple, or small family. The brownish one here is great for southeast Asian skin tone. The backdrop itself is easy to use, arrives folded with creases, but those easily go away with a quick spin in the dryer.

I personally had a hard time removing the folds due to shipping with this BG. I had to purchase some wrinkle spray and place a wet cold towel in the drier to remove wrinkles. Even them, I used metal clamps from home depot to stretch overnight which seemed to remove the stubborn wrinkles. But I would certainly recommend because the results are astonishing!!!

I had never bought a background from Kate before but was struck by the color. I am very pleased with this and have used it several times. I put it in the dryer before each use and mist some moisture in there and it shows very little wrinkles. It’s great. Since then I’ve purchased another one from them in a different color. I’ve recommended them to other photographers too.

The velour fabric tends to reflect light in unexpected ways which I continue to struggle with. The pattern itself is good, but would have been better served if it has been printed on heavy cotton or canvas.
