Easy to set up, works well
The hdmi port for my wii u doesnt work, so this is a great alternative. It was easy to set up and connect, and i have not had any issues so far. It does need to be plugged in to work though

It works, but you lose some video quality
I just bought a new Samsung TV QLED, 65QN72D series. I have two DVD/VHS combos: LiteOn and GoVideo. I hooked them up one at the time and played both DVDs and VHS tapes. They both worked, but there was noticeable reduction in video quality. But the alternative would be not to have anything at all, so it will work.

Terrible for 480p/i and Under
(The photos show the flickering effect that is always going on.)I bought this to use with my PS2, Wii, and VCR on my flatscreen TV. I plugged everything in correctly to my Wii at first just to see that there was a huge bar of flickering black horizontal lines at the top of the screen. I went into both the TV settings and the Wii settings to see if there was some sort of mistake that I was making but there was nothing I could do to stop the lines from flickering. I then tried with my PS2 to see if the flickering persisted and sure enough they did. However, out of curiosity, I did play GT4 on the PS2 to use the 1080i PS2 output to see if that would fix anything and surprisingly the lines were gone. So, to test more on the other end of the spectrum, I tried playing a PS1 disk with my PS2 to see if the converter would work and instead of seeing flickering on the screen, the entire screen was just black.I made sure to plug the consoles in directly to the TV with the standard connections to see if there was any flickering there and there wasn't, so it's just the converter box that isn't working the way it said that it would. So I got into contact with the customer service to see if they could send me a replacement since mine clearly didn't work. They said that they would get in contact with their superiors to fix the problem for me and I was fine with that. However, after almost 4 months with no response after that, it is not fine anymore.I'm just writing this so that potential future buyers can be aware that there's a possibility of getting a broken product with basically no support from the seller.TL;DR This doesn't work with 240p/i, works badly with 480p/i, but does work fine with 1080i/p. Also Customer Service never got back to me to fix or replace the broken converter.

Plug and Play
We used these for a client who converted to sources with no component outputs but didn't want to part with their legacy plasma TVs which were still working perfectly after well over a decade of service. Plug and play for the most part though one may need to fiddle with the scale settings on either the TV or the source being employed.Crazy that only a few years ago a device like this might have been hundreds of dollars and not nearly as easy to use. Progress!
